Liz, I missed that you are redoing your Florida room! WOW! I can sure see how that would disrupt your household!

There are actually hand made bricks in the basement (holding up the house) and there are some handhewn pieces of lumber in addition to some dimensional lumber.

Beth, they changed the address to this house some years ago. I don't know if anyone would even know what the old one was. This house has been around quite awhile though, I can tell you that much.

Need to find the pix of the house from the listing. I saved them all but I think that was a couple computers ago. Been kind of hard on computers this past year!

House isn't REALLY old. Purportedly it was built in 1926. However, I am SURE it's older than that. I'm thinking 1880's due to the original brick in the basement.

Seems that in 1926 there was fire in the courthouse and all the records were burned. So the county declared that any house standing was built in 1926 regardless of when it was actually built. Have heard this story several times now so am pretty convinced it's true.

Gordon, you should write that book! And you could self publish it on Amazon? Why not??? Lots of people are looking for the GOOD news. God knows we get enough of the bad news every minute of every day!

We moved a year ago into a beautiful old home that was a foreclosure. We've spent the last year bringing the Grand Old Lady up to snuff. I hope we're about done. I hope. Really I do. lol

And of course you know that I've been selling on Amazon and my website for quite awhile now.
