Morning all. Glad to see a lot of talk here.

We've cooled down to the 90's and after the misearable summer we've had that's a huge relief. Someone said we had over 30 days in a row where the daytime high was 100+.

Susan, you leave your door open at night? Or do you have a security screen? That's what I have and they aren't getting through that thing without tearing out the door jamb..lol.

I feel like an alien. Never been overly fond of peanut butter other than cookies and Reeses but got hooked on the extra chunky kind for a while. Nothing with it tho..can't imagine putting other things on the san..don't even like jelly on it. Honey is good though.

Max, they gave up on the bus schedule and now both boys get dropped off at their friends house. They have a daughter who goes to the same school so the friends run all 3 kids to school in th emorning. Connor rides the bus home to the door at noon and Logan gets picked up at 5 by Dad. I'm at their house to meet Connor then his therapist arrives at 1 for his session. This new ABA company does everything so all I do for 4-5 hours is sit and read. To keep from going round the bend from boredom I do any dishes that are left, dust the floors (hardwood) and make the boys beds. (they do the sessions in there). When it cools off I'll putter in their yard a bit. Neither are yard people so they've about let 6 hedge plants die. Told GS one day that I'm doingmy best to keep them alive and he said he was doing his best to kill them. They have a drip system for them but it's broken and on his to-do list. Has been for the last 3-4 years. Sigh.

Cathy, is that United Health Care a supplement? I opted out of Medicare and went with an HMO as I can't afford the amount Medicare takes out of my check and a supplement too. It's been working for me so far but who knows what the new year will bring. My HMO is a locally owned doctors group the just sold out to Blue Shield. They promise no changes but there are ALWAYS changes.

Put me on the list to notify if you find a way to keep dust out of curios. I have 2 curios and a baristers book case. The bookcase is full of bells so you can imagine I don't want to have to dust them very often..lol.

Off to get pictures of some jewelry I'd like to list. Carpe Diem everyone!

Our bodies need all the food groups to function the way they should. Just in the right portions. Trouble is with me is that I don’t eat seafood..period! EVER. About the only beef I eat is ground or occasionally a pot toast. I do a lot of chicken as many ways as I can. Poor things on their own don’t have a lot going for them but they take on whatever flavor you use so that’s a plus..lol.

Like Lynn, I like potatoes but not big on most veggies. I’m a green beans, peas and corn gal. I eat a lot of bread stuff whether loaves (sandwiches), tortillas, biscuits or such so there goes the tummy. My downfall would be sweets. And the fact that I go for the easiest thing to eat which is almost always bad for you wieght wise, cholesterol wise or sugar wise.

DS was diagnosed with Type II Diabetes and very high triglycerides. He eliminated probably 75% of carbs from his diet and is cautious with ice cream where he used to eat tons….along with other goodies. He’s one of the few I know who has will power. I have none.GDIL last 60 pounds so far with Nutra System and now eats some other foods outside their supplied packages. Hope she can keep it up when she stops the nutra system.

Gads, I have rattled on and now have to think about starting to get dressed to go GS’s for Connors therapy lessons. He has so much fun with this group that it’s a pleasure to be there. the last company was sooo boring that he greeted the workers with ”bye bye” at the door. Off I go…

Have a sooper dooper day everyone.

LOL..I must be hungry. I always start yakking about food and diets when I am.

Morning all. At least here on the west coast.

I admire people who plan ahead for what life will surely bring. I’m such a procrastinator that nothing ever gets done except in my head. Once I’ve decided to take care of an important issue I feel better immmediately..not saying I got it done..just decided to do it. Whew! What a load off my mind. 🙂

Got in over a mile walking today and came home to remove an old sprinkler hose from the flower bed and replace it with a soaker hose. I’m sure the flowers will be much happier and I know the weeds will. Everything here is so stressed with the heat that not much is blooming except for some crazy zinnias that seeded on their own. Last year I scattered mixed seeds and nothing really came up. Then in a totally different place a zinnia popped up and got about two feet tall. That one is gone but in the other end about 15 feet away another popped up and is about 3 feet tall. I now have 3 all in odd places..not planted. They and the vinca flowers are about all that are blooming. The vinca vine is pale an not flowering. I think everything is like me…sick of the heat and way over it. Enough already.

Shelley, hope your trip is fantastic…I’d like to see pictures from all you travelers.

Took two bags of clothes (mostly DD’s) to GW the other day and at least got my trunk empty. The garage needs thinning out again. It just never ends. Told GS yesterday (we both have just enough room to park in our garages) not to leave his Flex out overnight because things will creep into his empty spot and he won’t be able to get back in. I know from experience. Nature abhors a vacuum and so do garages.

Guess I should pry myself out of this chair and make a swipe at my worn out self. I need a maid, a cook, a laundry service, a gardener and a pool boy. Oh rats! I don’t have a pool. (Grin)

Morning all. Happy Monday. (if there is such a thing. 🙂 )

Susan, I got a forwarded text last night from DS and it appeared to have been From Ryans mom Trish saying Ryan has a torn MCL and will be out 3-6 weeks. Said he was very upset but was dealing with it. It's a concern not only for his health but it's his last rookie year and his 5 year contract will be up. He may not be playing for the Chargers next year and I know he would be disnappointed. He's only 3 hours from home now and the climate in San Diego doesn't get much better. With his luck he'd probably get traded to Green Bay or some other frozen winter land ..LOL.
I always feel like i'm the kiss of death if I'm rooting for anything..man or horse. I tell people if you want to make money tell me which one you don't want to win and I'll bet on it..you're guaranteed to win that way.

I have a 36" TV in the living room and two smaller ones in the guest room and playroom but neiter get turned on often (none in my bedroom). Most days I don't turn the TV on before 5-7 PM so as soon as my cable contract is up the 23 of this month out it goes. I should save about 50 bucks per month by getting rid of it. All I need is internet as I now have a Roku (streaming device) that is hooked up to Netflix and HBO Go thanks to the GK's. I can get about 10 channels (all network, PBS and independents) with an antenna so once again decided cable for me is a waste of money.

I took a box of books to a used book store yesterday where they buy them by the pound and got almost 6 bucks for them in store credit. Bought 4 of the Boundary Lake series by William Kent Krueger and spent the store credit plus anothe $4. Discovered I'd read 2 of them but it had been so long I'd forgotten. Figure I'll ebay the 4 as a set when I'm done and at least get my 4 bucks back.

Guess I should be up. I need to get in at least a mile walking today, I skipped yesterday. Took Zack the wonderdog up on the bluffs with me on Sat and we got in 2 miles. I thought I'd wear his hiney out but the little mutt was still rearing to go..lol. Can't trust dogs at all.
Have a great day everyone.

Max, frustrating isn't it to have a thrift raise prices like that"

Lynn, Antique shops are gone here too for the most part. The Malls have taken over and I'm sure folks make more money that way rather than have their own brick and morther stores. One here is in the old Woloworths building and 3 are in old furniture stores. All downtown on what has become anitque row. Goods destination for out of towners..we're getting a rep.

And off I go...finally. I've bent your ears long enough.

Went out shopping thismorning and walked a mile at the enclosed mall while waiting for Pennys to open. No luch at all shopping and it's very frustrating. I hate it anyway...lol.

Stopped at the SA on that side of town and they've remodeled the building to be quite swanky....and raised all the prices. Guess I will part company with that one. Saw a Silver Crest bowl similar to a banana bowl and they wanted 70 bucks for it. My thought was..so do I. If I could get prices like that for my Fenton I'd sell it too....lol.

Still need to dig out what little Metlox Red Rooster items and sell them. Sure don't need anything without the set and certainly not if they're still in boxes after almost 7 years.

Off to pretend to watch TV while I check my eyelids for cracks.

Later all.

Oh dear. I have to give credit where credit is due. My son does housework and also cooks most dinners as he is home first. My grandson (nephew to DS) also cooks and helps with thehouse when company is coming. He has done most of the getting up with baby stuff with the 2 boys (4 and 6 now), does their baths and changing diapers etc. I love seeing that in a guy. It just makes them more manly and macho in my eyes as they (and all guys like them) aren't afraid to tackle any job.

Good morning everyone.

I'm in awe of anyone having a hubby who helps out with anything. I was married twice and neither one of them could do more than boil water or spread peanut butter on toast around the house. Or maybe the operative word here is "didn't" I was young with the first and after we split up he got into goumet cooking (too little too late for me..lol). The second was a workaholic but it didn't include the humble abode. It took and act of congress and the state troopers to get him to do anything around the house. We gutted and remodeled an old ranch house and when I left the kitchen floor was still plywood waiting for Mexican Pavers. Great guys both of them but housework??? NOT! 🙂

I love seeing deer in the outdoors. Don't know what it is about it but it makes me breathless. One the above mentioned ranch there was a water trough about half way up the hill and the deer would use it too. I loved watching them come down out of the scrub oak and drink. It was privateland so I guess they felt safe among the cattle.

I'm with Susan on the steak. I bring things home from a restaurant and the dogs end up with it. I'm not much on most left overs. I don't know abou all of you but the price of beef has skyrocketed out here and I won't pay 6 bucks a pound for a round roast. And steaks in the supermarket are over the moon. I stick with chicken and ground beef when I find it on sale. Insanity.

Guess I should move a bit here. Opened my email this morning and found a small sale. I was so shocked I had to try to locate my packing material and watch the moths fly out. It may take me a while to wrap it as I'm so out of practice.

Have a great day everyone...

Susan, I have Hartford Insurance through AARP and don't know if they offer the discount for a driving course or not. My house insurance is through another company as I couldn't find a bundle that was as cheap as these two separately.

I'm really feeling the pinch of driving a sedan these days. I need to have a sheet of paneling cut in half and no way will a 4x4 piece fit in my trunk. I might be able to get it in the back seat standing up but not having an SUV or pickup is a real hardship sometimes. The only one with a pickup now is DS. DD has a Suburban that's been in my driveway for over 2 months but do you think I'd have sense enough to get the paneling during that time? She's taking it today and offered but it's so packed with her stuff I doubt if we could fit a peanut in it. I need a little rattle trap mini pickup just for errands like this.

My then hubby's aunt owned a dress shop so I worked for her during holidays and some summer vacation. then I worked for one year full time in a dairy office. When they were in Jr Hi and high school we lived in a very small town and I worked part time in my 2nd hubby's moms Wards catalog store. The town was small enough that even when I worked I was never far away..and everyone knew what your kids were up to...lol.

Morning all,...just a drive by.

Max...I remember folks making pickled watermelon rind. Don't think I ever ate any.

I'm reading a mystery novel that takes place in an Inuit village the arctic and when it talks about food I almost gag. One scene the gal dug out a bunch of fish head and tossed them in the skillet. They had that and tea to a meal. In another scene she talked about having a cup of tea and dropped in a nugget of seal fat. HolyMoly, I'd starve. Got my curiosity up so I did a little reading and found that their in their diet they eat almost all protein and almost no plants as they don't grow much up there. And they don't waste any of the seals, whales etc. The fat and protein helps keep them warm. Glad I'm down here where it's hot...LOL.

Criminy, didn't take me long to get off onto food talk. Guess I need to eat...but I'll pass on fish heads.

Reen, funny how empty the house can feel after a young one leaves..even if they were just here a few days. They make such a difference.

Susan, I'm curious about the pears too. Ex was an electrician and did work for a pear and apple orchard/shed and we had both running out our ears. I cut the apples up and froze them but never was one for canning. I'm far too lazy..LOL.

I have rabbit ears for the play room TV and when I dropped cable the last time I bought a flat thing a ma jig that was an indoor/outdoor antenna.
Today is my son and daughters birthdays. they were born almost exactly a year apart..both on Aug 27 and both between 7 and 8 am. Forgot the name for it but they were almost those kind of twins. Babies born in the same year. Thing is, they aren't kids anymore ..DS is 55 and DD is 54.

Cathy, by FCC regulations all network and PBS stations have to be offered over the air free of charge. All you need is an antenna. The Roku streams through your internet and is not live TV. Hulu airs shows a day later I understand but I don't have that one. I have Netflix and HBO Go. I think Netflix runs about 7-8 bucks per month and other ones are about the same. You only pay for what you want to watch unlike cable.

Morning all.

Lynn and Cathy, I binged on House of Card and The Killing on my Roku. They were both weries and since I didn't watch them when they started I found them on Netflix where I didn't have to wait for the next weeks episode nor was I interrupted by commercials. Both had cliffhangers at the end of each episode and with my Roku and Netflix I didn't have to lose any momentum. Now I wawnt to start Longmire from the beginning and catch up along with missed episodes. I quit watching in on TV..kept forgetting when and where it was on...lol.

Anyway, I highly recommend it. I don't like reality shows and TNT etc seem to have nothing but reruns (L&E SVU etc) Love my new set up.

RE passports. I looked into getting one and found you only need a passport card if going to Canada or Mexico. Those were a lot cheaper than the full passport but I don't remember how much. Do you know if the $100 is for the card? I don't have a birth certificate so am unable to get a passport so it's a moot point for me. Not that I'm going to Mexico in any case..lol. And Canada is too far from me. Unfortunaltely I let all family who could vouch for my birth pass away without documentation so while it might be possible to get a passport card, it would be time consuming and difficult. Funny how SS took all my papers and said I was good to go but the CA Real Estate Board refused them. Crazy world.

Shelly, Roku is a little device that hooks up to your cable and streams several different options. For instance Netflix, HBO Go, Amazon are a couple of options and each comes with it's won charge. Netflix is about 8 dollars per month. Cheaper than cable tv and is loaded with movies and all sorts of TV programs. More than I could ever watch and a heck of a lot better than cable.

Morning all....

Lynn my grandson and his wife are the teachers, I just take care of their youngest now. I was a drug and alcohol counselor for Kern County Mental Health. When GS and his wife had ther 1st I kept him part time and he was in day care part time. When the 2nd came along I kept him full time for the first two years til he was old enough for the day care.preschool where his brother went. The youngest is high functioning autistic..non verbal although at 4 he is learning to speak. I pick him up at his school every day and stay with him through his ABA therapy at his home. Somtimes I type the way I think and that can be confusing for anyone..LOL. Sorry I wasn't clear. Sometimes I even confuse myself. 🙂

The GK's bought me a Roku and I love it. No commercials and I can pick and choose which TV shows I want (of the ones offered) and movies for days. Love that thing. In Sept my contract with ATT U-Verse will end and I'm getting rid of cable TV too. I don't use it enough to make it worth it and the Roku does all I need.

Guess I should get moving and get my walk in. I want to try outmy new shoozy woozies. Got some bright blue Nikes with neon orange accents. That should wake up the neighborhood.

Hey Lynn...I like your Saturday. I stayed away from the thrifts and antique stores today and also missed out on some estate sales. I have so much to list and no motivation I decided to stop spending money til payday. You probably missed all my drama but I retired from the county when I became elgible for full SS. Then GS had a baby and I became a part tome care giver. Then they had another and I became full time caregiver...lol..been like that for 6 years now. The thing is they are teachers so I'm off when they are and there's no pay in the summer. I try to economize but so far haven't had much luck...lol. With the first school year payday about 2 weeks away you'd think I'd behave myself....and I did. Except for the Nike walking shoes I bought today...lol. I figured staying out of my haunts was a good thing today.

Shelly, What's this about it costing $100 to get into Canada? What's that for?

Bob, sorry I don't respond much to your posts. I don't collect stamps and know so little about thing that I can't make an intelligent comment. I still see you there though.. 🙂

Good morning everyone. Finally made it back here.

Speaking of paying bills. I only have one that is allowed into my bank account and that's car insurance. Having said that, I pay all my bills on line but through my bank. I log on to the bank then go to my list of payees and tell the bank how much to cut a check for. Most are hooked on their web but if not, like my pest control (small company) then they cut and mail them a check. I don't like allowing utilities etc to have access to my account. I'm still using the packet of checks they gave me when I opened the account. Had a roofer out for some repairs and had to dig around to find that packet to write him a check...lol.

Susan, I guess they are sticklers for the once a year mammo thing. They do the same thing with prescriptions for me..if it's a day short of renewal time they make you wait. I love getting one filled and discovering it's on their el cheapo list too...lol. As for the game and the race. Do you have the record ability? I'm dropping cable in Sept and will have to buy a VCR I guess as there are some shows I don't like missing. Not many..but a few. I don't watch a lot of TV..just have it on for the noise in the evenings..and am tired of paying that extra 60 bucks per month. I have a Roku and can watch just about anything on Netflix and HBO Go. The grandkids logged me on to their account so it's free to me.

Cathy, they hack to get your personal information. Prolly don't give a hoot about your med records but all your ID stuff is there. That way they can gain access to your bank, credit card info etc and also use it for ID theft to open accounts, buy a car...whatever.

Lynn, I've had a Hoover steam shampooer since about 2000 and have been really happy with it. It isn't really heavy but does a good job. I also have one of those old ones that have the spinning brushes and you can change them for waxing buffer pads. The tank is cracked so you can't use it that way but find for heavey traffic areas I can use the steam on then run the rotary one over it to scrub better. I haven't done that in years but loaned it to the GK's as they had a lot of bad spots from the kiddos. Now IT weighs a ton...lol.

Afternoon folks.

When DD was stying here her dad brought 5-6 pairs of his boots for her to sell on ebay and I think she sold one pair. He paid big bucks for them and wants big bucks for them....still only probably half what he paid. Ostrich, snake and the like. He never was one so scrimp when it came to things he liked. I can't complain though, he made big bucks working and thanks to him (divorced) I get a bigger SS check...LOL. I filed on his earnings. It doesn't affect him and I get half what he gets. Gotta love our gov't at times...lol. Now that DD is gone the boots are still here....I should ask if he wants me to list them. Ugh...then finding boot boxes would be a hassle.

Always something.

Susan, I saw that about Tony Stewart. What on earth was that young man thinking to get out of his car while cars were still moving? Back in the dark ages my cousin raced jalopies out at our local speedway and got into a fracus with another driver and bashed him in the face through the window with his helmet. Got him banned for the rest of the season. Hot tempers and adrenelin are a bad combo in the racing world.

I'm off to breakfast with the family. Hope it's a great day for everyone.

Hi all.

Love thetalk about our defending our military. We had an incident with the Westoboro bunch saying they were coming to my city too. DS is a Harley rider and I think every motorcyclist in town showed up at the soldiers services and the cemetery and lined both sides of the road. The WB bunch apparently got the message as they didn't even show up. We also have a group that meets the returning soldiers both alive and deceased. Respect and honor are the lest we can offer.

We can band together and call ourselves The Band of Ebayers. LOL..I'll find a club of some kind to add to the cane and shillelagh. 72 here too. 🙂

I made two sales the other day and am tickled. One not so big and one decent. If it follows the usual path that will be it til the end of August. Shaking my head that it's the only time people buy from me these days. I would have thought the custard glass ash trays would sell but maybe I llisted them too high. Maybe should list them for a dollar two ninety nine. Sigh. Or just offer them free with free shipping.

Susan, love the sound of that deck.

Hi everyone.

Susan, I went to the beach for the day with grands and greats and then had them here overnight. I can do wonders with just the 6 yr old but when his brother is here it's a constant watch assignment. He is into EVERYTHING. He is 4 and is a high functioning autistic kiddo with all the cleverness and resourcefullness of a kid that age but without theimpuls control. Keeps me on my toes that one does..lol.

I'm still bothered about that dog. I'm guessing he is lost from his family or maybe they ran him down the road but it's so sad to know that one way or another he has a short life span.

When I need to contact a restaurant I go to their webpage and look for a "Contact Us" button. As unhealthy as it sounds I'm a Taco Bell gal and the one by me has gotten so bad I finally went on line to let them know. In your situation I'm not sure where you ate but for all the meals to be bad and them not honor the discounts I'd be stomping up and down. Eating out isn't cheap especially when people eat out as often as you do. I eat out quite a bit myself as half the time it's cheaper for just one. We had that happen at a family breakfast once at a new coffee shop. Everything was bad, some inedible, they only had one coffee pot going and they didn't knock a dime off of a $100+ meal. Never went back and they didn't last a year. As for people joining...they should have waited to be invited and when no invitation is offered they should have moved on. Where do people get their manners? Oh....some don't. LOL.

I'm off to a meeting with Connors new ABA therapy people so better get myself off this chair. I still haven't recovered from 6 hours ON the beach. GK's set Logan and me up at waters edge then took Connor to his docs appt at UCLA. When they got back we stayed another hour or more so Connor could play in the surf too...so I am baked, broiled and beat. LOL.

Back later.

Shelly, that's adorable. I agree with Reen about the bird whistle and forgotten all about them but now remember them well. Ours were plastic if I recall.

Susan, it's always entertaining at your house...LOL. In some cases I wonder if some of the animals living out in the weather aren't better off put down. Sounds so harsh I know but I feel for them. The other day I was at Carls Jr (Hardees for you guys) and saw the skinniest dog. His ribs were showing and his flanks sunk in. He was trotting across from a tire shop to the drive in and passed then came back. I tossed hash browns out the window so he stopped and I tossed all but a fe out as well. Then part of my biscuit. When he finished he trotted off and across a very busy street. I coudln't look for a bit but when I did he had made it safely and was trotting through the parking lot of the shopping mall. He had a collar on and wasn't afraid of me..but didn't approach me either. It got to about 104 that day so the pavement would be blistering. I hate that so much but sometimes there isn't anything you can do. If I'd called animal control the dog would have been long gone. Sad.

My big dogs are outside dogs but the have a covered patio with a mist system and fans blowing through it. I try to help them stay as cool as possible. I always feel guilty but my Lab has a tendency to attack my small dog if another dog is around...and my DD's dog is always getting dumped off on me. Animals...mercy...LOL.

Glad you stayed available for bail...you never know what trouble guys will get into when you turn them loose on a big box lumber store...lol

Since I didn't pay a lot for it I guess I didn't lose anything (except what it might have sold for) I probably didn't examine it closely as it looked so good and I got it so cheap. I They set up funds to give money to his family and he pays her a certain amount each month and told her if she needed more than that she needed to get a job...lol. (It's generous) Seems to have a level head on his shouldiers and admits he knows he can't do this forever as running backs are huge targets.

Anyway..that's my gabbing thismorning. Roofer is coming at 9 to tell me if my roof can be repaired or if I have to go in debt for a new one. Fingers and toes crossed everyone. Ebay just isn't doing it for me.

What a disappointment.

Reen, love your pictures.

Lynn, I'll go look at your listings too. Love seeing what other people sell.

Susan, you muct have a huge house...all those cabinets. Do you ever forget what you have packed away? I do and I don't have nearly as much as you...lol.

I have a box of what I call beer barrel glasses that I forgot and am getting them a a big box of wine glasses out to try to sell locally. I got on a glass bender for years and couldn't pass up the small vintage resaurant water glasses and those barrel glasses. I remember my grandad buying quarts of bee and drinking out of those kinds of glasses. Guess that's how my addiction started. I'm over it finally..tme to move them out.

Morning Max!

Max, forgot to answer you about the walk. I made 2.04 miles yesterday and 2.10 today. I hate getting going and slow getting started walking but as I loosen up it gets addictive and is a challange to see if I can make it a tiny bit farter that yesterday.

Shelly, There are quite a few wedding gowns around here too but I'm leery of them. I don't really have a place to keep them and most need cleaning at least. I've never done a completed search on them tho...never thought of it. As for nighties...always get the big ones when you can find them...they seem to do the best. Smalls are next to impossible to sell but I do list a few. LOL..trying to sell something with a 28 inch bust is pret-ty hard.

Morning all.

Lynn, hope you find the flea to be a good option. We could all use a break. 🙂

Susan, all that food sounds so good, especially the desserts..lol. Glad Bear started feeling better.

Max, Christmas in July is just nuts! I'm not thinking wam and fuzzy slippers when it's 104.
As for people bringing their things with them I doubt if they give it much thought. It's so diverse that I'm not sure. We go from mountains with snow to deserts with heat and all in between. One thing I do know is that you used to be able to go to the midwest and buy up all kinds og antiques and sell them for high dollar out here. The theory is that people tossed so much along the trail moving west that not a lot of older stuff made it this far. If wagons started breaking down great grammas chiffarobe and china would be the first things to go. During the migration in the depression no one had anything much to bring except an iron bedstead and a few chickens. That meant when CA wanted to get in one the antique look they had to go find some back east. Times sure change don't they?

Shelly, you up?

Lynn, as you know there was a time when you could sell almost anything for good money and I see some still do. I don't have a lot of luck with much of anything any more but keep plugging away. We don't have auctions around here and the flea is so soouth of the border it looks like Tijuana. Booth rent is pretty expensive and from what I hear, is pretty slow right now. That leaves me hanging around ebay listing here and there. I sold 2 items this month and that will barely put new shoes on baby. Still, on I go.

Guess I'd better hang it up for the night. the witching hour approaches and I don't want to be mistaken for one. Easily done...lol.

Hi All...

Shelly, you're right, it can be fun but often frustrating..lol. I don't know what's going on but sales that used to happen on the first of the month now seem to happen about a week before. Craziness.
Picnics are fun but in the weather we have here I wilt. I also intensly detest fighting flies for every bite. Some get pretty aggressive and practically shove me out of the way. Not a big fan of Al Fresco dining unless it's at the beach with those propane heaters going..LOL.

Susan, saw a picture of Gayles DD on Facebook and see Gordon comments from time to time. At least we know he's alive and kicking.

Time fo rme to go forage for food. I had the little guys overnight and til about 7 this evening while GK's went to a 49'ers scrimmage game in San Francisco at what was the last game to be played in that stadium before it's demolished. She is an over the moon fan..ferocious even..lol. This was her birthday present from GS. Anyhoo, I don't eat well when they are here as they seem to know when I sneak a bite of food toward my mouth and suddenly need something immediately. I lost it this afternoon when the 6 yr old said (for the 497th time "watch me Nana") and I told him "I'm starving to death...arrrgggghhh let me eat this sandwich!" So now I'm kicking back and eating a meal in peace. It's only a hot dog and popcorn but I plan to have the TV on, my hair down and my feet up.

Manana y'all. 🙂
