Hi all,

I see I need to check in. We were lucky when Bill passed through. We were on the very western edge, and only got about 1/2 inch total for both of the 2 days it took for it to pass over us. However, our daughter who lives about 65 miles to the east got 9 inches on just one of the days. It has been sunny and hot with lots of humidity. When we try to get a little bit of yard and garden work done in the late afternoon, the mosquitoes are viscous. I don't know when I have seen such large fat mosquitoes.

We need to pull weeds again. It s time to cut back the bluebonnets and scatter the seeds. I hope we haven't waited too long, because when the seed pods open, they throw the seeds in all directions. We like to get to them first so that we can keep them in a more controlled space. I have seen them throw the seeds 6 to 7 feet away from the plant. I need to collect some for a friend also. We are going to divide the Iris, Daylilies and Amaryllis. A friend wants some of each, and I just hope I can get rid of
a lot , as I am being over-run with iris and amaryllis.

Bob had a nice father's day. All the kids called him. We will be without a car for a few days. We needed a transmission overhaul. I sure hope they get it done by Wednesday or Thursday, as we are supposed to go to a family reunion on Saturday near Denton.
