I drove to the Tweed Valley caldera. (A caldera is the rim of any large volcano.)
This one, the Tweed Valley caldera, is the 2nd largest in the world, and 20 million years old.
The largest in the world is still active - the Hawaiian islands and surrounding seas.The photo shows a small part, may 10% of the entire caldera, which goes 50 miles into the distance (so, out of sight) and then curves back again, as a circle is apt to do 😀
