Hello all from cold and rainy North Texas. We just missed the ice storm...it stopped at the Red River and didn't make it to us. The cold did, for a couple of days, but it was dry. They are forecasting rain for tomorrow with a high of about 55, and into the 60's and 70's through next week. I am ready for spring.
Max, it is good to hear that you are doing well. It seems like it takes forever to get back to normal after being in the hospital.
Susan, we have had a fish pond for over 40 years. There have been times when it was frozen over several inches thick, but the fish just kept growing. We even had babies hatch out a few times. Right now we have about a dozen. Three of them are over 8 inches long.
Irene, I got a kick out of you saying you were going to bed and eat cookies. It reminded me of my mother telling me that January of 1947 was a very cold year...It set records for being the coldest on record. My mother said that was the reason my sister was born on Oct 4 that year.
I hope I will be able to get on here more. I got new glasses last week, and I can see so much better. I still have to work around the big floater in one eye, and the blank spots in the other, but the new glasses make it better to read and see what I am typing.
Good night all,
Ann
