Gayle is quite FAR AWAY from me....a few hours by plane but she's in a lovely area - saw it over 50 years ago. Have loads of cherry & grape tomatos and some plum tomatoes as well - delicious in a sandwich & the small ones in a salad. Nothing like a vine-riped warm tomato (not the store bought so-called vine-ripened ones which have a bit of a taste but not as good as a home grown one). The daylilies are still blooming, the alyssum & petunias got hit by bugs & the tomato plants are covering them. The geraniums in my planter are doing so-so: one is better than the other (2 different varities). Not too sure what I'll do next year but it will probably be a change. The elm tree will be coming down (has Dutch elm disease) and will trim down the carrigana and am considering removing the giant cedar & spruce. Had very little rain this year, quite a few hot days in summer -- hope we don't pay for it with a very cold winter. Marson
