Gone are the garden days. Used to plant about 1/2 acre as well as having raspberries, an elderberry tree, current bushes, apple trees as well as saskatoons. Planted many spruce & larch. That property is gone. This one has terrible soil so I've got flowers - annuals & perennials in front of the house, a permanent planter by the front steps (matches the stone on the house), have a planter on the deck, hanging planters off the branches of the spruce and going wild yellow daylilies, potentilla, blackeyed susans, and peonies. Deciding if I should continue with them or turn it all into grass. Decisions, decisions, best left till fall. Marson
