Spent twenty minutes shovelling the snow off the deck - that's the easy part. The driveway took 3 days --- twice the first day, twice the second, and the 3 rd day finished it off. One way to get exercise - when my fingers get cold, I quit and after warming up and resting for a few hours, I continue.
We're in code red until Jan. 9 (my sons birthday) - then they'll decide if the covid numbers and deaths are down. Shopping for essentials although they suggest you do curbside pickup, otherwise shop quickly - touch only what you buy, masks mandatory indoors in stores or malls, still limited amount of people allowed. No worship services except online and some try the outdoors in cars six feet away with radio connection.
In this weather the online or radio/tv services are the way to go.People have been known to break the rules and face fines (the politicians are a different story) but we won't go into that. We're learning how to function differently - more phone calls, cards, emails, etc. Praying that the coming year will be different - but when you consider how the rest of the world lives (in poverty,
famine, pestilence, totalitarian, Marxist or dictorship regimes) we are blessed and it's a good time to think of all we can be thankful for. food, clean water, a warm home, etc. Marson
