Hi all, Just checking in to let everyone know that all my family is safe tonight after all the storms in Texas. They started over us about 2 AM this morning. We had heavy rain and loud thunder. It rained until about 1 this afternoon. The Dallas-Ft. Worth toranados started just west of Burleson where my #3 daughter lives. They got heavy rain, hail, winds, and electrical outages, but no damage at their house. Her husband teaches in Grand Prairie, and their school was shut down for a while, but all are well. Then In Arlington where my #1 daughter lives, their house didn't have any damage and they are fine. Then in Kennedale where my #2 son lives, they got a lot of damage, but all are ok. Their house had a large hole in the roof where something went through it, and 2 windows were shattered. Also, the fence, backyard shed, patio furniture, porch swing, and trampoline were all gone with the wind. The 2 story house across from them lost part of the 2nd floor over the garage. It is a really big mess,but no injuries or lives lost. The #2 daughter who lives in Nocona, about 60 miles from us had a very long day at work. She works at the water plant, and the electricity went off and she went to work before 4 AM, and didn't get home until 7:30 tonight. Her husband works at the wastewater plant, and also went in early, and was still at work when I talked to the daughter at 8 tonight. It has been a long day, so I am going to get off here and get myself to bed....Ann
