Morning - Back from picking up the new used Yukon XL. All I need is a siren and a fireman's helmet and I am all set. You may or may not remember that I said it was BRIGHT RED. Really, really red. Got more than scrap price for the '93 not a lot more but anything more is great. He will part it out.
The new car has POWER, wow. Old one never had much umph even when newer. Don't know yet what kind of mileage I will get but seemed like close to old one. Will have to do more testing. I used A/C on way home plus had over a ton of feed and stuff in it which all can lower mpg.
Knew I had aminor couple of leaks when i bought it, but now have a crunking sound up fron. Strut? stabilizer? or something. Hear it on bumps on flat and when turning wheel. Harvey can look at it tomorrow. Go to Illinois doc in a couple of weeks so mechanic there can check it out but need to know I am safe to get down there.

Now waiting for Tramadol and Advil to kick in. I lifted a full bag of feed yesterday (I keep trying) and shouldn't have. Oh well.
Need to use the skidsteer, as we are nice and dry right now.

While I wait will give raccoon update. It comes even faster now when I say "here kitty, kitty" but now won't move till I am within 3- 4 feet of it.
I grabbed my helmet and flung it at him about 6-7 times. Got really close a couple of times. He then actually scurried under his hiding place rather than saunter ing away thumpin his paw at me.
Later watched him come out on my hay stack and do a Meerkat impression. Sitting up and looking for ???? I got as close as I could and yelled and it RAN. So maybe have instilled some fear of humans in him /it / her. really htink it is a him/ Males are smaller than females and is probably just a short yearling.

KATIE - yeah, kind of think those tree words should not be used together --- child, pony, stallion.
I have allowed a competent experienced child ride my stallions on occasion but only under strict supervision and with no mares in heat around. Of course the Icelandics are very different from other breeds but a stallion is still a stallion. My older stallion lives with geldings and the two younger ones (11 and 6) live together.

Good luck on your dinner ware. Can you soak your butter pat in bleach water? Or try baking soda with othe green scotch brite pad. ...or is it the blue pad??? I get coffee stains off with the scotch brite things.

SUSAN - Is this kitty one FROM the shelter? or a newly caught one that you caught? When I left last week I thought you were talking about one from the shelter but this one getting fixed now sounds like it was a different one. I am so confused.

I'm thrilled that all the other kitties got home safe. Can not remember if I told you how happy I was for you.

SHELLY - Did you ask if I had a new fur critter?? If so, NO. Just Teddy who continues to learn and progress. Can not believe I will have had Teddy seven years as of the end of this month. Time just flys.

Last week was 25 years since my Dad died and Bjalla (one of my mares pronounced B Yacht lah and slur it all together) was 25 on same day. She was born, almost to the minute, of my Dad's time of death. It was her iminent birth that led me to borrowing a video camera which enabled me to get 5 minutes of Daddy on tape, while relearning the camera, just 20 hours prior to his out-of-the-blue heart attack.
