Ahhh, I see I forgot to mention we all wear wadders (rubber boots). Think I took it for granted you might have known that. No one could withstand the cold water. Although I always wear them no matter if it is only ankle deep, some rivers in the summer are nice to soak your feet in. Easier to walk in boots because some the rocks are slippery and you just don't know what sharp things you might find.
The group I dig with are professionals, not amateur weekend hunters, and always thinking safety first. Lol, well with the exception of a new digger who thought he could wade into Lake Superior when we were in Thunder Bay, Canada. Took at least six hours for his legs to warm up. He listens to us now. Sure Max remembers just how cold that lake gets.
I will try to take some pictures so you get a better understanding of what it is like. Everyone looks out for each other.
I see some of the bulbs the manager and I planted last fall are starting to peek up out of the ground. Some look like iris but the others we were not sure what they are anymore. Can't put labels into the ground as they don't stay in place. But I love fun surprises and we can move a lot of them around later in the year of they need to be spread out. Only saw on bush so far with leaves trying to come out. Going to be a few warmer days coming so that will help.
We won't be giving anything away at the thrift store. The mission group I volunteer with will take it and redistribute to those who have nothing. Obviously just household items, furniture and clothing. Kids books etc. not sure how they are doing this week. Won't be there until tomorrow.
Going to the movies and lunch with some women in the building today. Think we're seeing big fat Greek wedding two.
