Hi All. Missed a bunch, I am sure, and can't remember who said what right now except maybe for a couple.

    Lock out story.
My house locks were the kind that you can open even when they are locked. More than once I have gone on porch and locked myself out. Not too bad when it is not winter and I have shoes one but did it one time when we had about 8-10 inches of snow and I was in my sock feet, having just gone on porch to let dog out or just o check the air temp or something.
I never used to lock my back door so walked in snow, in socks, around to back door and got in.
Now days anyone trying to get in that door would probably kill themselves and I have since gotten a different lock. You can not turn the handle to open the door unless it is unlocked.

SHELLY - Cabana boy. Now that would be nice. That would be massage instead of masochistic work right? lol Not I really. I love my work on the farm. Just wish I could DO it and not have to get help.
He came today and unloaded the 25 bags of feed. Managed to get all but 6 in racoon proof areas. Moved a few awkward things that needed to shifted before the snow flies, got my stuck feed trough out of the the deep almost now unfrozen mud unstuck. We had had so much rain the mud which had trapped the base looked like lava which had hardened.

DAN - Glad your meeting went well, as it seems from your post. I worked my winter job for 30 years. Loved it, usually, but the brother of my direct boss had a temper and he would yell at you for no reason and do it in front of other employees.

There were a few times in the later years where I would tell the sister. That I was only staying for her. I loved my job and the OT, but there were times when I would have just walked if I hadn't been loyal and need the pay check.

The tension would be awful sometimes. I could walk in the store on off days and know immediately if the brother was in the building or not. We were all good self starting workers but he would flare out of the blue. His DW and DS always said he was working on it but that really didn't help.

He was always putting out articles for us managers on how to be a better manager and how to communicate but I do not think he read them. One time he yelled at me and I yelled back. Do not believe he did that again, to me.
He had asked me to do some project which I knew nothing about and he would not answer questions......just said figure it out. Then when I did not do it the way he would have done it he yelled. LOL Almost like he wanted people to fail so he could yell.
