The pickings are slim here in the West - but I still find a piece or two sometimes. Last year at a WY auction in a flat full of carved wooden elephants, there sat an 8" long Van Briggle elephant figurine. I was terrified that some ham-handed browser would break it before they got to it - but luckily I stood guard and managed to win the lot pretty cheap - maybe $22 or so. The elephant is worth well over $100 so I was happy! It's what we live for. Sometimes people here don't know anything beyond Roseville or maybe Hull or McCoy so things occasionally show up and don't sell for much. I've found Weller and older Brush-McCoy a few times just sitting there unnoticed. I think once before the old ebay pottery board shut down I was able to ID something someone had - it was a terrific little orange Coors Rosebud Pottery pitcher with lid. It is nice to know and be able to share it! I don't remember who had that piece but I was thinking about asking if she intended to sell it.

Oh! While I'm thinking about it - I have a beautiful platter in the Metlox Green Rooster pattern (Calif. Provincial). Got it at an auction with a few other pieces - it's 16" long and in perfect shape would be worth around $200 - but there's a shallow half-inch chip on the back edge. Do you know anyone who does repairs anywhere? I've lost touch since I moved from NYC and don't know a soul out here who does that kind of work. I might be able to do a "for display only" repair but don't know if anyone would want it. Still, I can't just throw it away. It's so nice. Here's the pattern - (in a soupbowl)
