An early good morning to everyone. I know it is trying to be spring but I sure could do without any more snow. Fingers crossed it goes north of Milwaukee. Thunderstorms and rain I can handle.

Irene, I can't seem to find much to read that holds my interest. Remember I used to read things like The Stand and a lot of other Stephen King books. Now I find them way to creepie. Considering checking out the non fiction section in the library. It seems like that is where my mind wants to go. Go figure, i loved watching Downton Abby which had, love, death, betrayal and humor. Just thought I might be able to find the dvd of Upstairs Downstairs which was on PBS a long time ago. Tried watching a series about the south but then again there is so much violence. Must be my older age and changing taste. With a but of humor, I may have to soon resort to cook books and cooking ,shows.

Taking an older friend to her M.D appointment this morning then lunch. At 86 she is sooo cool to hang out with. Has a great sense of humor. We once asked her if she wanted to join us for ice cream...it was ten thirty on a hot summer night. Her reply was "just let me get my purse". Her sixty year old daughter was not especially happy with us....so now we don't tell her daughter what we are up to. Smiling.

I am sure your right about about me having more fun things to do than sorting through donations etc. spoke to a few who have decided to retire from the thrift store and we plan on doing a breakfast get together every so often. Hard to lose friendships from the past 14 years.

Where is everyone hiding lately? I need to know when to start some seeds I collected from last year.

Max, we get a good price for those ceramic trees at the thrift. People are looking for the bulbs also. Been awhile since we got any in. I like Stewart for the dogs name. Did laugh at staying in the kitchen while you cooked. I would be there also.

Thanksgiving and Evan's 14th BD are on the same day this year. He will probably have a family party on the Sunday before or after. Everyone goes in different directions for family events on thanksgiving.

Rumor has it the agency that runs the thrift is scouting out a new place. Heard we are going to get surveys in the mail. Apparently they are considering a more upscale neighborhood which means more travel time. Not sure I would like that. Will see what they come up with. Still have five months to find a place. Also heard some volunteers will not be asked to work at the new place. Sounds not nice but we have some that have increasing dementia, need way to much help and one who is nearly blind. They took her on for fear of a law suit. She is nice and they gave her a job straightening the book rooms. We're having a half off everything sale the Saturday after thanksgiving. Have to get christmas out before that.

My tulle trees are coming along well. Takes quite awhile to do the gathering. Hands hurt after awhile so take breaks.

Shelly, interesting that you can still find things to sell at estate sales. Saw one with a line of people to get in. Seems most of them took things from the 50's on up. Paper mâché doll has not sold yet. Put twenty five on it. Will display it better to tomorrow.

Susan, you might goggle the major bus lines and see what they say about the cat. Never know. Just reading about the amount of stress you two are under trying to make sense of both Kevin and Erin makes me cringe. Had my share of family stress so I have an idea of just how crazy it can make a person.

Question...why can't her Mom help pay for getting back to Florida? Is she broke also? I would tend to agree with you that you should not take her in with you. Thre are shelters she can go to and get free meals if needed. Most churches have programs or can guide her to one.

Sounds like she and Keven are strangely addicted to each other and if she does get to Florida she will either come running back to,him or he will go seek her out. Hard relationship to break up. Am I reading it right that Erin is a needy female unable to take care of herself and thus stays with Kevin? Can't make them get meaningful help until they want it.

There comes a time when you of course have to stop helping altogether. Is you give her a car and she crashes it or tries to sell it while your names are on the title what happens then? Your libel. Time to stop and just get her friend to take her home and be done with it. Or have him take her to a shelter where there might be some emergency counseling. We have a place called sojourner truth house that is for a used women. Do you have something like that in your area? Long ago I used to take in a few women for temporary shelter but the. DD was getting older and I stopped helping the organization.

Shelly, that. Iris is so nasty. I have escaped so far. Hope you will feel better really soon.
