• Thanks so much for your welcoming me. Hope to find my way & get to know all you folks so I too can answer questions. Providing I have the answers, of course. To inmax, whereabouts do you live. Trying to get a fix on the pricing, etc. Here, our Habitat for Humanity, prices are cheaper, lots cheaper, than the Good Wills. BTW, I hail from the extremely small town of Sandston, Virginia. Unremarkable to say the least. Just rural, lots of farms, lots of horse farms. I like it though, very quiet. Seems like people are talking about herbs. Before I was injured I grew & cooked with many. Lots of them still out there. Herbs don't like a lot of fussing, they do better on their own. Just keep an eye on them for pests, etc. It's a very rainy night here, calling for rain basically all week. Don't know what ya'll know about Virginia, but rain is unusual here, especially in this amount. Really had to shake the dust out of my umbrella's. I too, have had a long, tiring day, fixing to take a good long bath, make a tall chocolate milk shake & veg in front of TV with my dog & cat. Hope everyone has a good evening.

  • Just wanted to say hello to everyone. It was Shelly who told me about this site, thanks Shelly. I was just scrolling down, reading bits & pieces, sound like a nice crowd of people. Someone had mentioned the high price of real vanilla. I used to bake a lot, (a lot!), it's easier & cheaper to make your own. I probably have 10 bottles in my pantry & have given away as much. If you want to know how, fairly simple, let me know. Realize this has nothing to do with pottery, but Shelly says this board talks about everything. I got talking to her over the cardinal figurine she's selling on ebay. Thought for sure I could make out Maddux & that is of course, California pottery. Don't know if I was right, but took a stab at it. My collection includes just about everything, even antique furniture. Used to love to shop the Good Wills here also. But here, in Virginia, they've all gone to on-line auctioning & the only things they leave on the shelves or hanging up is junk & I do mean junk. I bought a Lalique there years ago, not anymore. Just makes me mad, as they're supposed to be serving our community & we support them. I see nothing wrong with them trying to get more money on-line, but couldn't you leave us something. Anyway, hope to chat again soon. Somedays, I have to go completely off-line, as my body is in so much pain. Just get up long enough to feed the critters & then crawl back in bed. Hate it, but sometimes the body just must rest. Good evening to all. Hope you're not drowning in rain as we are here in Virginia.
