We have been getting snow for the last 3 days and right now it let up but suppose to start tomorrow again.. I think we have about 8" except where the wind has piled it up to 12" I think its suppose to warm up to teh 20* next week.. Our water froze in downstairs bathroom so we are leaving that on a slow drip..

Bout bed time, into a James Patterson Book, about 2/3 through.. Pretty good.. I woke up last night and read for 1.5 hours.. than back to sleep..
I went out the day the snow started and spent over 200.00 on groceries I figured it would hold us until it lets up..

Take care.. Stay warm.. That snow is coming down out of the North it probably hit you before it hit us, we are on the other side of Lake Erie.. Sometimes it protects us, then other times, it dumps on us.. But not as bad as Buffalo.. LOL

I took the bird feed out about mid-afternoon yesterday & heard something in the leaves. Took a good look & saw 3 deer on the east side of the ravine. I'd been worried since I haven't seen any deer in quite some time. Zac tells me we have coyotes moving into the area. I haven't seem or heard any but when I'm reading (which is most of the time) I lose track of the outside world.

Thanks for the Happy Birthday KATIE, it was Great.. Two of my Best Friends.. Lots of friends but only 3 besties.. and I went out to Red Lobster for lunch.. My Treat.. I had gift cards from last Christmas, Terry says might as well use them.. He rarely goes anywhere outside of our small town.. He hates going to the Mall area.. We enjoyed it.. Friend got me 5 lottery tickets I won, 2.00.. LOL 😉 I got flowers from my Son, Candy from Grandson, Gift Card for Ebay from another Son. My Monogrammed Drinking Mug Candy from my Hubby, and goodness, thats all I can think of, but More Candy then I need, I had been good an not eating sweets..

Hi KATIE, You got a real tree? We have not had one in over 30 yrs due to step son having so many allergies, One of them is PINE.. I remember when we were first married and he came to live with us, I did not know all of his allergies, but PB and Corn.. but soon learned when I cleaned he was allergic to Pine Sol.. Had to take him to a friends house to spend the night until I could air the house out..

So sad to hear SUSAN is MIA She may now be in the Nursing Home with Bear.. Too bad her claimed Nieces could not give us a response.. or Neighbor.. I already told my son, to respond here if I should pass.
The way things are going I might outlast them.. I am trying to hold it all together and be strong for them..

I keep telling Terry, we should go get a will done, and make funeral arrangements so they are not stuck with it.. I have some insurance, but he doesn't, says there is enough money there to take care of it.. Thats money I would have to live on, should I out live him.. If not when he passes whats left goes to the kids.. ALL 6 of Them..

Hoping all take the immediate things taken care of.. Don't do as we do..

HI KATIE, I guess I forgot you were going away or did not pay attention, My Memory Span is not always working for me.. Glad you are home safe.. Know how those unexpected snow storms can come as a surprise when traveling.. Begged my husband to get a motel once on teh way home from Fl.. but he insisted on driving straight through Pittsburgh.. So I tried to steer him out of the fields as we drove through.. We did make it home safely. Glad you made it home safely too..
Sorry about your friends passing and the other ill.. It seems when we get at this age it is natural for some not to make it as long as we have or else they are older..

Well things are not good with my sons either.. Oldest one told he probably has a year left, due to his kidneys.. He will know more on the 20th.. 3rd son, will have one of his kidneys removed in Feb.. Doc thinks its cancerous.. Than of Course 4th son with his COPD and Cancer in his Lungs, is tired of fighting it all.. Doing Oxygen 24/7. We did move him downstairs so he does not have to climb stairs anymore if he wants to get up and about at all.. At least he can reach the refrig. & microwave if he wants anything.. #2 Son is still battling some after effects from the Covid, but he says he is fine. Since he lives in Ga. I guess I have to take his word.

Friday is my BD and I am taking my friends out to lunch.. since I have so many gift cards we have not used..
Suppose to be good weather, going to take advantage of it.. Its beautiful out today also.. So much going on in this world of ours, its hard telling what tomorrow brings..

Hmm maybe I should call a dealer.. I called about getting an appt. to take things to the Auction House, they are booked up for all of Oct. and closing down for the winter months.. So I will have to keep it all packed away here or find another outlet..

The Hall Teapots sold anywhere from 3.00 to over 200.00 depending on style, rarity, and if Lids included, or not.. Did you know they made a Ronald Reagan one? or a Sherlock Holmes one? Me Either..

I see around here the Mosquitos are infected with whatever it is they are infested with that they can pass around to humans they bite.. if it isn't one thing its another.. I am presuming you have to be forever Vigilant especially if you go to a picnic where everyone brings a dish..

Well I hope you have better luck getting ahold of Susan then I had.. Concerned she could be in a nursing home, or worse.. wish we had asked her if we could contact her neighbor or niece, if she seemed to have vanished..

Your Mom must have been a good cook.. Me not so much, BUT my Mother was too.. She could fix Rabbit and it tasted like Chicken.. Tho she cooked liver and I Never liked that.. BUT I did find out a few years ago from a friend who was an expert at fixing Venison Liver.. He said teh secret was soaking it in Milk.. he gave me a taste because he knew I did not like it, and I was surprised, it tasted pretty good, but I am still not eating it.. I am not fond of the idea of eating organs of any animal..

OH KATIE what does that mean ALPHA GAL SYNDROME?
Does it mean if you eat meat you will want to attacked people? Probably not, but never heard of it.. but know Red meat is bad for Arthritis.. Son is good eating Sardines, Salmon, or any fish.. I have Arthritis too, just only one kind and not as bad as sons is.. Only Long Johns fish tho.. no other.. Do not like taste or smell.. I do eat Tuna Fish Salad..

My GS is here staying for a short time, I think. He is looking for a house to by, with some land.. Wishing him well.. He just moved back home here from South Dakota.. Has to be better here then there, I am thinking..
He is my sons son, who is also here living with us, and still going thorugh his Cancer treatments Twice a month.. he is so Thin, and not all that interested in Eating, but I try to keep after him, he has to eat something, but is trying to stick to Gluten Free, Foods.. No Bread.. Gluten Free Breadk, is tasteless he says.. I just bought Barillas Pasta tonight that is Gluten Free, So he can eat that.. He loves Pasta.. He is eating a lot of seafood, the Reg. Pasta and Bread & Red Meats play havoc with his Arthritis so he is trying to eat healthy and thus far it seems to be beneficial.. Before his joints would swell up twice thier size and very painful.. He has Both kinds of Arthritis, thats where the problem lies..

So have been busy here.. Will try to stop back in, in a few days/weeks. Would really like to know how SUSAN is doing.. and pray she is OK.. You Too Katey, and Mike..

Sons are still holding their own with their Cancer diagnosis, one worse then the other, but he and I are planning a trip to visit a friend next week after his next treatment if he is feeling up to it.. Just for a change of scenery and to get him out of the house..

My company is all gone, home for family get together.. Next Month is my Mothers family reunion and my other son from Florida will be home.. He could not make it this past week for a family get together as his wife had cataract surgery.. Looking forward to seeing him too..

How are you yourself holding up.. sorry to hear about your BIL, as we get older everyone else is too.. and its normal to be losing so many loved ones around us, either they go or we do.. So luckily we are still here to support the rest of the family.

My Dear Life time Friend Down state, Just told me her husband is going into hospice, Glad I called her, but I am sure she did not get much sleep last night. or. until she adjusts to the new idea.. She is dreading telling his children as they will blame it on her..

Oh My Son finished his 5 weeks of Chemo & Radiation treatments and just had a Cat Scan done and seen his Cancer Doc. he says they have made progress, but not in remission.. He has to have a year of infusions every 2 weeks, So hopefully that will be easier on him then the other treatments, He is weak, and tired, a lot but still moving.. He still has some hair, not sure if he will lose it all now.. but at least he could wear a hat if needed.. My other son with Lukemia is doing well, but still taking Chemo pills, it makes him tired, but he is still active. Not one to set around, but needs a nap every day., but he looks good and I am Thankful..

Heard from Max, she cannot figure how to get back on here.. Not sure how to help her there. I told her once to contact Curt, he might have some suggestions for her.. I will try that once again.

KATIE, Thats wise to get a young man to help with your Pruning.. I have a flower garden fast becoming a jungle..
Not sure if you know what lucust trees are but they are hard to kill they get thorns on them too, so hard to handle or extract.. Even when cut down the roots sprout up all over the place, and they found a home in my flower garden, soon to be a jungle.. or forest. Our guy who cuts teh grass is so busy, he does not have time, no idea what to do about the jungle.. Also the Ground Hogs have made holes all over it, especially under the propane tank.. No idea how to rid them.. Terry use to shoot them before we got the propane tank, but now too close to the tank to chance shooting them.. Can you imagine the big explosion. and Emergency vehicles being dispatched here..

Well better days ahead.. Have to take Terry to VA on thursday to have cataracts removed. one at a time.. but it gives me 3 hours to figure what to do while waiting for him.

HI KATIE, Our Lilacs are just started to bud up.. so hopefully this coming week, i will be smelling ours too.. The Daffodils are too far in the back of the house for me to smell them.. but I see the Hydrangeas are just starting to sprout up out of the ground.. They planted 3 of them last year, I hope all 3 make it to bloom.. Pray you and Mike are doing ok, Any more word on if your moving or when? I know I would be dreading that idea of moving.. But I am sure if DH goes first I will be thinking of downsizing, and moving to a smaller place..

We are doing ok here.. Son just finished his Radiation treatments and 2 more Chemo treatments before they start his Infusions.. His Throat & Back are so burned, from radiation its hard for him to eat or sleep.. His hair has gotten thin, but still covers his head, I guess it was a good thing he had a thick head of hair.. But he is toughing it out.. I want to hug him, for being so brave.. but last time I touched his back it hurt him..

Got an email from REEN, She says her Birthday is May 4th.. I remember her mentioning that we had the wrong date, not sure how that happened, But thinking she is the only one that can change it.. But Know she appreciates you all thinking of her.. Gils is this month, again I believe she said the 21st.. Thankfully like the rest of us they are hanging in there..

I hope all are well here.. and getting more of those warm breezes blowing through, its going to be warm here through Sunday up to mid 70s the rest of this week, and than next week down to the 40s & 50s.. We surely will be glad when Mother Nature quits teasing us.. All My daffodills are blooming and the Forsythias, the Lilacs just starting to green up a little..

PS Yes I saw where your families community was ravaged during that storm, so sad.. Its happening all over the USA in one form or another either rain/floods, or winds.. Last year the fires.. Darned shame, I hope someone figures out whats going on or God just takes over and does his thing..

KATIE, Never heard of a Gum Ball Tree.. are they colorful as well as a Nuisance ? Sorry they are a mess. would it help to have that tree cut down, and plant a new more practical tree, maybe a flowering tree? We too had some pretty horrific winds and rains the other day out of the West, but must have left all the hail for you.. Sad about all the bad weather causing so much Havoc in others lives.. and for most, so hard to rebuild.. Even if they have Insurance, like those in Fl. Hurricanes, the Insurance Companies not all that fast in helping to get the problem resolved.. Glad your windows did not break.. We had a few limbs down, but many lost trees and some homes that they fell on.. we were lucky here..

Found Some Candle holders that go with my Haviland China, that I hardly ever use any more and never used the Candle Holders so sold them on Ebay.. 50.00 I was happy. Now have one of the Glass Pieces my friend gave me when I was down there last Nov.. A Viking Red Long Tail Bird.. got a bid for 75.00 ending in ah Hour.. So will probably be shipping that off..Wish we had good ole bidding wars like the old days.. I did not realize those Viking Birds were so sought after, they do not seem all that scarce..

HI MARSON, I hear you about those shooting.. It seems like it must be the water.. What is wrong with the mental health of people today.. Do they not know they are disturbed, and should seek help.. Or their parents not paying attention to what their kids are up to.. Sickening.. It did not use to be this way, what is happening with them? I cannot even fathom how someone doesn't notice whats going on and stop it before it happens.. Like they say if you see something report it.. Better to be safe than having young or old people paying the price, for ignorance. Makes me feel overwhelmed, when there is nothing you and I can do about it.. You Stay well, and Stay warm..

KATIE, Good to see you too.. My daffodils or anything else has not even started to sprout yet.. Not enough sunshine I guess.. I will give them another month.. It says we can plant summer bulbs now, but I am not so sure.. I do have a lot on my plate Katie, but it happens, I just keep praying the Treatments my youngest is getting will save teh bell.. The Doc did say yesterday that the Mass on his one lung is breaking up.. So I hope it continues. The Doc was pleased.. On a positive note, I took my Grand daughter out to lunch today for her BD.. She is talking of moving back to Fl. with her Daughter and DD Fiance.. They do not like the snow.. LOL Oh well, I will enjoy them while I can.

Got an email from Max Still has not gotten a lot of satisfaction from the Insurance Co. for the damage done during the hurricane.. She says some INS. Co. going out of business..
I believe it too.. Can you imagine in Miss. where a whole town was wiped out.. Sad, and I pray this next weather pattern is not a repeat of last week.. Praying God is watching out over them.. So sad..

On another note, my Son, has just gone through his first 2 weeks of Radiation & Chemo and seems to be handling it ok, but the Docs told him the first two would be the easiest.. So we will just take each day one day at a time.. That's the son who lives with us.. My Other son, who has Leukemia and Lymphoma is doing ok on Chemo Pills. Doc said he will take those the rest of his life.. is doing Good, just tired much of the time.. So I am giving thanks, for him, and Praying a lot for the both of them.. Thank you for yours..

HI KATIE, THANK YOU SO MUCH ! Thank you for all the prayers too, I pray they are going to work. I really do not think he will come out on the other side, and just today he was in so much pain from the Arthritis, he could not get up to greet his kids..I think he would welcome the relief from all the pain. His joints swell up, and are so sore. His Chest hurts just from trying to keep breathing. So tomorrow after his Rad treatment we are going to a local rest. and have lunch with all of the kids.. Grandma's treat.. I have not seen them in about 10 yrs.. for the Boys, the Grand daughter I seen 7 yrs ago, when GG Grandson was 4 yrs. old..

Happy to hear You are making some ocassional sales.. Nice to see some things go and money coming in. Ebay sales are not coming that quick, slow better then nothing..

HI KATIE, So glad your feeling better and Mike too, as if you two did not have enough to ponder over.. Goodness, What did you do to deserve all that?
Hows the weather for you, one day its sunny the next it snows, cannot make up its mind for Spring to really get here or just choke our chain for another month or so.. Really cannot complain, tho we have had a mild winter over all.. Unlike Bflo. NY.. it started snowing this morn, around 8:00 on top of Green Grass, but mid afternoon, nary a blade of grass to be seen..

My Grandkids are coming in Monday, I just pray they have safe trips here.. 2 are driving and one is flying, he will get a rental when he gets in. My son who lives with us, is pretty bad, he starts on Radiation on Monday for a month, then he starts on Chemo for 5 weeks.. Every day, except weekends, for 2 months.. the bad part he has to drive into Erie, Pa. for those days about 40 miles RT.. Sometimes its all he can do, to get out of bed in the morning, let alone dressed to go out. He is very tired, eats very little, his Arthritis is really acting up, Swollen joints and painful too. Arthritis Doc did give him a Cortisone shot when he went in the other day, hasn't helped much, Doc said he does not know what to give him, not knowing how it will react with his treatments.. I pray he gets through this.

I see Susan must be busy in her Garden, transplanting and feeding the Fish & the Birds.. I surely hope her weather is co operating for her..

Haven't heard from Max in a few weeks, I hope she is doing ok, and the Insurance people are helping her get the work done on their house.

Heard from Reen a few weeks ago, She did not have much to say, but did say, the Experimental Drugs, Gil was taking are no longer available at reduced rates for them.. So that is a worry.. He was doing so good on it too..

Nothing else going on here, except as usual I am still trying to get organized before the kids get here.. One is driving in from So.,Dakota, one from Fl. and one flying from Norfolk..

Well I better save some news for the next time..

 Hi Shelly. I’m so sorry but both have passed. We had left a message pinned up in the groups for about 3months which I’m sorry you had missed seeing. Sylvia died and her family asked Gordon to move out so he went into a caravan park. Then it was only a few weeks later before Gordon passed away suddenly too. Someone that was a good friend of Gordon now has his dogs. Sylvia’s family have her home and cats etc. it is so very sad and we all miss them a lot ! I am now admin for all Gordon’s photo groups, which Gordon & I thankfully had arranged not long before he died. He had not mentioned the ebay to me, just the photo groups so I am sorry I didn’t know to pass that on to your group

so he is finally in his final resting place, and Dogs being hopefully being taken care of.. Will check in soon again..

OH KATIE, I trust Ebay as far as my money goes, but I follow the SPorts Cards have been buying some, But for the life of me I cannot understand why they let sellers of sports cards get away with selling Digital Cards.. That means they get nothing more then a picture someone has taken of a star player and transmitted it to someone else's email address and they can put a picture up on their computer.. How Dumb is that.. One has to watch to be sure they are buying teh real thing.. So many rules are being broken and Ebay does not seem to care.. as long as they get a cut of the pie...

That sounds like a good price for your Tray.. I hope someone buys it from you who will enjoy it.. I have posted a few things to sell on FB, but I get more scam tries then I'd like to.. I have sold two items the first day I listed them.. but the rest just sets there.. Any clues or ideas to help another seller on FB? I Notice most that ask for my phone number just opened accounts for no reason, except to scam as they have nothing posted on there account page..

I pray every one is well and not overly impacted by our weather.. For Dec & Jan, I am not complaining it has been pretty calm, a couple bad snow storms passed through but did not last more then a couple days.. and gone.. No snow lately, last Friday it was 52 another day it got up to 60* so I am liking that..

KATIE just checked, there was a cobalt & gold tray of his sold for 50.00, another Floral one that sold for 76.00 and the rest in neighborhood of 30.00 ti 39.00 maybe some less, there are not a whole lot of them, but at least they are selling. .

HI KATIE, That tray looks like Flow Blue? is it Dark Blue? Very Nice, I do not recognize the name but by the shape I would say it is quite old.. Oh You did say late 1800, so its gilded gold as well.. Very nice, Hope someone gets it that loves it.. Have you done and ebay search to see How Wm. Guerin sells? Some of those perfume bottle collectors might love it..

KATIE, So happy you have some family, Sons so close by and they seem to be a big help, I have two sons here, both willing to help when needed, but ones health is not all that great, but he helps out when he thinks he can handle it, and we do not even ask.. The other has his family and home to tend to, with a teen age GS they are raising so much of his time is with him, transporting and teaching.. So I try not to impose.. As long as we can do for ourselves we will.. Like you we have 2 others that are not close by, and being so far, they cannot make it every year.. One in Ga. one in Fl.. but they call.. We are Thankful.. Know you are too.. We are not yet ready to give away our furniture, when we pass or sell the house we will have an auction.. Unless the boys ask for something specific.. It seems at this point you have to make all of the decisions, So Whatever Works.. More Power to you!

Went to sons last night DIL made Sauerkraut & Pork so we brought in the New Year with Good Luck Wishes.. Played Uno Attack and had a good time, rang in the New Year and came home.. I was in bed by 1:30 AM..

Hello Every Pottie. well its raining here today on this last day of 2022.. Yesterday it was sunshining and 52*My friends and I went out to eat at Golden Corral than to shop at the Christmas Tree Shop where I bought absolutely nothing, They had a lot of good sales, 50% off all holiday items.. but I needed nothing, or nothing hit my eye I could not live without.. I did look for a small clock to hang in bathroom, but nothing, Every thing was Large.. So the other girls bought some things and we were done for the day.. A great lunch with my friends.. One paid for us all (3). I got a BD card with lottery tickets in it, I won 9.00 haven't cashed it in, hoping to double my winnings or more.. LOL I got a beautiful lap blanket in all shades of purple.. I am a gifted lady.. thanks to both of my friends.. Tonight I am going to my sons to play games/cards or whatever.. Terry does not want to go.. so his loss. He is a munchkin.. Sets and watches TV and Munches.. can't hurt him any he is so thin..I am making two pots of Sauerkraut & Pork for new years.. one to take with me..

So SUSAN, THank you for that link I will have to get one with Dual controls as Terry is always hot, and me the opposite.. I just have to decide which one.. I was not absolutely sure they made them.. I use to just turn on my electric blanket and it warmed the bed..

KATIE, How nice that your son came to see you.. How many sons do you have? This one seems awfully young, How nice that he remembers to come see his parents.. You must have good boys, raised them right! Mine are as well, but they do not come see Mom as much.. So busy with their own lives.. but they call often..I appreciate that.. having any friends over for New Years Eve?

I love to play scrabble or Uno, or anything, mostly.. Thinking I am going to copy my son and DIL they have a card table set up in the living room so they can put puzzles together and still watch TV if they want to..Thats a good to pass time.. in the winter.

Got an email from MAX the Insurance adjuster finally got there to look at their roof damage, not sure yet how that turned out.. I can well imagine, insurance Co. are pretty busy in Fl. getting them all checked out for damages..

Quiet dinner at home yesterday, I bought a nice Tavern Ham No bone, all meat and not a lot of fat.. So every one ate hearty, today was sandwich day.

We did not get a whole lot of snow, mostly wind, temps down to 1* not sure if it got below zero or not.. But my new Bedroom sure was cold.. I think I need to get a Mattress warming pad, if they make such a thing..

SUSAN, your fish should be hibernating in a sleep mode being that cold. Me too, do not envy the people in Buffalo, thats only about 85 miles from us, but the wind must have taken all the snow North, into Upper NY.. You can check up on line about feeding fish in the winter.. I could be wrong but I do not think they eat much when its freezing.. Glad your pipes did not freeze, I keep worrying about mine.. I do not know how we would get at the plumbing..

KATIE, How nice that your family came for the holiday and you got to go out and eat with them.. I got a couple gift cards from my sons, we still have some left we got last year.. Terry does not like to go on our busy Street, up near the Mall where most of the Restaurants are.. Maybe I will have to treat my friends.. I have many things here for my kids to take, but they want nothing..

I haven't seen MARSON checking in, she is probably busy shoveling up there in Canada.. Hope she Checks in soon..

BUT He lives in Florida, I think he was 4 the last I saw him.. Time flies and he keeps growing.. So HAPPY BIRTHDAY BRODY... My Youngest Grand daughters son.. Susan, not sure if you saw where I had wished BEAR a Happy Birthday while you were out of commission.. I hope they had a cake for him..

Terry Bought me a new remote starter for the cold winter days..and had it installed.. Good for the hot summers too.. I told him before I did not want one due to the price, but now that I have it, I am glad..

KATIE, I wish my kids were interested in taking things home, lucky you, the JApanese Masks sound interesting, at least you collected some interesting things.. The last time I got rid of my collectible Elephants, When we first moved to Fl.. I saved some of my favorites, My one son took one for memories, and I sold the rest.. I have so many pretty ones now, I think I should sell them on Ebay.. But I hate to see them go.. Silly me.. How nice your son took Mike for a ride in style.. I am sure he enjoyed that.. What color? Well the weather outside is Windy, really blowing up a storm I think to blow that snowstorm in from the West. I did plan on going to the mall today with a friend to take advantage of the 40% off prices at JC Penneys, but not quite up to it, the wind, and / or shopping, so My loss..
Its suppose to snow for the next 4 or 5 days, so probably not going anywhere for awhile...

I have a Christmas Dinner to go to tomorrow with our Ladies Aux. but think I will skip that as well. Not sure why my parents decided to have a Dec. baby.. at least my Brother was born in March..

I Just ordered myself new glasses from GLASS SHOP, always sales going on Buy One Get One, The Lenses are perfect, best I have ever gotten even local ones. takes a couple weeks but well worth it.. These are the 4th & 5th ones I have bought from them.. Thinking I need a pair in every color.. LOL Like I go so much.. another LOL

Than back to bed.. Started watching Monarch series on Our Public TV station, it looks pretty good so far.. Western type Family of singers.. Mama just passed, only into it 2 episodes, so we shall see if its worth watching..

KATIE, thats a lot of money for Assisted care, but I understand there is a lot of expense running a Nursing home.. and it seems to me like MEDICARE would foot some of the bill, since they would have to; if it was a Hospital.. Not sure how that works, I hope I just die in my bed fast asleep..

So sorry to hear about Mike.. Glad you have family to look after both of you.. BUT My friend & her Husband down state live in a Senior Community, that has its own doc. hospitals, restaurants, etc. and its not cheap either.. Her husband now in the Alzheimer unit, Besides the rent she pays where she is living there,
now has to pay an additional 8000.00 a month for his care.. Good thing he had a good job, and gets a good pension.. Or they would not be able to afford it.. Not sure how much Medicare pays of that if any.. So before anyone uproots you, make sure they know what might be ahead for any of you..

Rainy here today.. sun came out about an hour and then rain started all over again.. Better then snow, I am sure but that is going to be coming along soon.

MAX Have you spoken with Susan At all.. figured you spoke with her before maybe you can check on her.. I pray she is ok.. and You Too!

HI MARSON, Good to see you check in.. You have shoveling snow already? How soon does it stop, MARCH? We had a dusting of snow yesterday in the morning when we got up; but it was gone by 1:00 in the afternoon. Thankfully, Winter just lasts too long, to start so early. I hear you about still handling your Sons estate, I know with our Moms it seemed to go on forever.. it is a big job, if they have any belongings at all.. My Dad did not have anything when he passed, except his clothes which were donated. He left a will leaving me every thing, but he sold every thing before I ever got it.. LOL He lived with us the last years of his life.. So no taxes. We are good hear and hope you stay the same.. Be careful out there.. Which reminds me to buy a new pair of boots..

Yes I can still remember coming home from friends and Terry telling me you called.. Wow what a Welcomed Shock that was, BUT I did not believe it, took a few minutes to sink in, "How was that possible, you were still with us" But Oh so happy it was true, but was no way to get in touch with you. A real Blessing, " So there is life after Death?" WELCOME BACK..

My friends SIL's church had a Rummage sale a couple weeks ago and invited, my friend and I to come over for a sneak peak.. I got quite a few nice things, including a Bread Box I have been wanting.. They are not really affordable but shipping is as much as a bread box.. so was happy to find a nice one to Carry, home. Spent 20.00 total. Actually only 16.00 but told her to keep the change. For a Good Cause. Oh and found a Campbells Pottery Bowl.. Popular around here, but the plant has been closed down, not sure why, maybe they moved South. I wanted to get to there final sale but Not. They were only about 40 miles from here.. My brother has many of their pieces.. I will be listing it..

I heard somewhere that the Insurance companies do not pay insurance loss on Screened in areas, I guess they are cutting as many corners as possible, with all of Everyones' Losses..

SUSAN so happy Max contacted you.. I just cannot understand it, BUT Possibly there were 2 Maxine Ryans in Fl.. or maybe even more.. I could understand if it was April Fools Day, but this was not funny.. I looked on my phone for a return number to call her but Nothing showed up that said Fl.. and I did not know her area code.. Now all messages are gone.. SO I hope she calls again.. I know she even had trouble getting back on here because she forgot her password, and again since Word PRess took over its not easy. I will write to her in hopes she got a Computer up and running with Curts name he might be able to help her..

Anyways.. I got home yesterday from my Friends in Lower Pa.. New Oxford.. I came home with at least 6 or 7 boxes and had the back filled to the roof, inside.. I will have to take a picture of Jewelry Box she gave me and it is full.. but the Box itself is Fabulous, and has a padlock on it, that opens it and there are doors inside with drawers, plus a couple other compartments, it looks like Celluloid, I have not even gotten all the boxes in the house yet, I just know DH is going to have a fit.. Oh Well.. She has no one else to give it to, and says she did not want her husbands kids to get it.. I was flabbergasted.. We have been like sisters for over 70 yrs.. and I know she just got this jewelry box from her brother in the 90s and I never saw it before.. He got it as a gift from the Complany he worked for, for I think 30 yrs,.service.

Long trip but so glad I could go help her, We shredded umpteen boxes of papers, her husband saved every thing, and collected Comic from Newspapers, She saved those for him, to give him something to do. Every ad he saved of things he bought, all sales receipts even for walmart, etc. We had 8 garbage bags full of Shredded paper for her Trash collector to pick up yesterday.. She said and with dishes, etc. they paid 8000.00 to ship all that from Tex. to Pa. If only she had known how he was handling things in Texas.. But he handled it all.. There are things he said he never saw when she was looking for them, from her Passports, Marriage & Divorce Papers, Property titles.. He had no idea where they were, neither did she.. He took off his wedding band a long time ago, when he was working, so she took hers off and he put them away.. We have not found them yet..LOL

Sorry for going on and on.. Oh Did I tell you, Danny went with me and drove all the way..Thankfully but I know I could have done it, but no one wanted me to go alone..
It was a good week we got a lot done.. and She loves to eat out, so almost every day.. I got tired of going out, never thought I would say that.. LOL

SUSAN, I pray you are doing well, and all your posies are put to bed for the winter.. and your Fish are doing well.. You asked of my Son, he has lost 35 lbs but feeling pretty good, says he tires easily, but Doc said he only had to get his Blood work done once a month now instead of every week.. He was happy about that.. His fish put to bed for the winter, He puts a Mesh net over his pond to Prevent Leaves from Collecting in the pond, Held up with Stakes. so its not floating in the water.. Will keep birds away in spring too, before it gets the mesh taken off.

KATIE so sorry to hear about Mike Falling, Us old folks have to be so careful about how we walk and where we step, etc, because if anyone like me and cannot keep there balance, its so easy to lose your footing.. I hope that does not aggravate his Problems more then it has at this point.. Did they keep him in the hospital at all? So have you looked into where your thinking of moving to? My Friend, had a beautiful home they bought in Texas and sold it to come to Pa. only way they could have afforded to live where they do in a Senior Community, Village Keys.. Oh and he had a nice Govt. Pension as well as Soc.Sec. He is in the same place now, but in the ALZ. uNIT.. 8000.00 a month, know I could never afford to live there.. Almost 200,000 just to move in.. then monthly rent.. but they will never be kicked out if they run out of money.. OH KATIE, Glad you have someone to take your treasures, if they want.. I felt bad taking my friends things, She might eventually be moving with her husband, if they can get another room next to his or give them a bigger place..

Seems like when our Mom passed, it would never be over.. She lived with my sister so it was mostly her decisions. We finally had a final sale, and that ended it all.. Heaven forbid anyone who has to deal with my treasures.. I took a load to the Auction house yesterday; but I still have boxes and boxes of jewelry I have gathered and not sure how that will go over when I take it to the Auction House.. Probably they will set on it till they go through it all lookiing for Gold..

Doc appt this morning, just a follow up on blood work, nothing else going on I am sure..

I see a Whirlitzer Piano in our Newspaper for Give Away.. When Younger I always wanted one, but no one giving any away back then. My DIL plays the piano at Chruch or at least she did.. Not sure if she has one, but they live in Ga. So not likely she would ever get this Giveaway..

Goodness, I see lots of leaves covering the ground already and leaves starting to change colors.. Its now Oct. and we have had Snow in Oct. before, So time to batten down the hatches.. and Prepare for those cold North Winds..

I just recently sold a Fiesta Vase I had picked up at a community sale.. Dual Handles only a limited number of them made, Called the Millinium. Many selling for 100 to 200.00 Since I only paid 2.00 for it I thought I did not need to be that greedy, so listed it for 50.00 and got one bid.. Satisfied me.. Just thought I would throw in a Pottery Item since we have long since gotten off the real reason for this board.. Also found a Teapot Creamer & Sugar made by Pearl City, at the Sal. Army. but the lid was repaired.. So not much chance of finding a new lid.. Taking a load of items to the Auction tomorrow.. Really like pulling teeth to sell on Ebay anymore unless something special.. Most times if you list it long enough someone Might buy it,

I am just recovering from Covid, lost about 20 lbs.. I had no appetite, Slept a lot, didn't do much else.. Men had to fend for themselves pretty much. Finally starting to feel like myself. Its been 2 weeks since I have been out of the house, not sure where I picked up the covid at, it might have been Walmart when shopping for Groceries.. Danny has been ordering groceries and has drove in to pick them up.. SO know they are not going to starve to death.

Weather is cold here, been running the heat this last week.. We have had lots of rain... Yukky weather, hope we get some nice weather to view the leaves when they start turning..

Sorry to see Gordon is under the weather.. Hopefully he will snap out of that duldrums.. I know I worried about my guys with their COPD, but so far they say they are doing ok.. I'd hate for them to get it, their lungs are bad enough as it is.. Gordon, I pray your lungs clear up from the Pneumonia.. Is Sylvia doing Ok?

Times like this we wonder why we did not think about getting it sooner..

OH So sorry you had to sell Mikes little red car, but I am sure the money came in handy.. I have no long term ins. either.. I will probably have to go in the Poor House.. Several places around here will take you in and their pay is your Social Sec. that you sign over to them. Are you thinking of getting another dog, to replace the Boss? I see anything old and antique people are selling old ads out of magazines.. all different prices.. I do not think anyone can make a living off of them, but who knows..

HI SUSAN, My son, who has the pond, is doing ok, not great but Ok.. he has lost 35 lbs, I hope that has leveled off.. The Swelling in his Lymph nodes have all gone down, so he is pleased about that and they are talking of taking out his Port since they do not need it, with him on the pills.. He is anxious for that to happen, as he says its a pain in the neck.. Literally.. lol Right now he is having a roof put on his Deck, he had one of those roll up awnings but he was disatisfied with that.. besides being dirty, with all the leaves collecting on it. My son Danny & his two friends are putting it up, and the Bldg. Inspector was over to check it out and gave them a few pointers about reinforcing it and using longer screws.. So every one is happy and job is almost done.
We got the metal roof about 4 weeks ago, I believe, and we cannot hear the metal roof when it rains, being he and I sleep downstairs.. Danny hasn't mentioned it, if he can hear it or not. I think it has only rained once in the last month. We could sure use some rain.. For the Gardens.. Farming is a big part of our area..
Susan, Our Trumpet Vines are going crazy, and the Hummingbirds love them usually, but I have not seen too many this year, they also love Bee Balm.. and that is easy to grow.. My Red Hot Pokers looked really good this year.. I was surprised how many came up.. look like they multiplied.. Which makes me happy..

I see Australia had a lot of rain and flooding again, not sure what areas or if it effected Gordon any.. Been a few weeks I see since Gordon checked in.. hope he is ok and in the highlands, away from the flooding..

MARSON, You out there? Pray your doing alright.. Again, so sorry about the loss of your Son.. I am sure that was a shocker for you.. You do have another son, correct? Never sure how many children you had/have.

I wrote to Joanne from the Book board, if I hear from her about Max, I will let you know..

Hello Everyone.. Had to contact Katie to get this address again as I changed my aol. address page, and lost all my favorites.. sp its like starting all over..

My main concern right now is Max.. I have written twice to her with no response, the last time we talked was June 3 & 4th, she is usually pretty good about answering.. Also I see she has not been on her since June 3rd.. Has anyone else talked with her? I pray she is ok.. Its is going to be a month, and we have never gone that long without communicating.. Hate to get every one all worried too, just thought maybe someone else had heard from her..

SUSAN: glad to hear you are still plugging away, and keeping busy and out of trouble.. Glad to hear Bear seems well settled in at where he is, I think you suspected after a time he would accept his living arrangement.. I bet that puts your mind at ease..

MARSON: Sp Sorry To Hear about your son.. Goodness 50 is way too young, have you heard any results yet on how he passed.. I hope it was quick.. That would be how I would want to go.. Not like we have a choice.. Anyhow, my Condolences..

KATIE, So sorry also to hear that BOSS took a turn for the worse and Know the house must seem empty.. Maybe you will get another to love and keep you busy.. How is Mike doing? Do you go for rides much lately, Do you still have that little red car.. I forget..

HI GORDON, Do you have a new email? I thought one time I wrote to you and it said it could not be delivered.. Not sure, but when I was trying to find the address here I tried to think who to Contact and Katie came to mind.. So I lucked out she still has the same email.

Not much going on here, Our Bedrm furniture all is in place, but I need to get a deacon bench to put in our room to set on or put clothes on, especially when we get company.. Son is coming home from Ga. in Aug.. Got a new metal roof put on thankfully one less worry for the next 30 yrs.. lol After we save a little more money Terry has promised me a new kitchen, Hope its in my life time..LOL I bought new kitchen Curtains, about 6 yrs ago from Pennys, They are still in the packages upstairs.. I bought 5 pairs, now I only have 2 windows so I guess I can sell the other 3 pairs.. They took out 3 of the windows when they build on the Bath/Bedroom.. I miss them, but cannot have everything..

HI ALL, well its 2:30 in the AM, and I should be in bed.. DH is sleeping so when I go to bed it will probably wake him up.. So I will meander here awhile.. Have some more listings to do but will hold off until tomorrow.. I did sell a small post card size water color today of an Island Seaport in the Caribbean, I believe.. It was hand signed, so someone might have visited that island sometime or other.

# 3 Son has his port in and ready for his first Chemo treatment.. Feel so bad, he has to go through that.. I will say besides my youngest #4 who Induced COPD on himself, with his Smoking habits, the kids have all been pretty healthy. Until the Covid which my #2 son in Ga. had.. He is just now weaning himself off the oxygen he had to have after he got Pneumonia after the Covid.. So I am Thankful for the good health they have had most of their lives, and hope it continues,

Well the Night Stands have not arrived yet.. But I am having them take back the Headboard for our bed. and ordered a shorter padded one They said should arrive about the same time as the NS.. They will than pick up the one I have.. Its just too tall, and overwhelming.. The Dresser is too, but Terry likes it.

Went downstate for Terrys Only living Aunt's 90th Surprise BD party.. It was a beautiful day for a drive.. (today we had snow flurries) Go figure.. There was a great turnout, between family, friends, and Church members, Even her long time friend Pastor was there.. He looked older then she.. LOL But she was so surprised, and she well deserved the recognition.. She was surprised to see we drove so far to see her.. So much food I am sure family took some home..

SUSAN, not many Hummingbird flowers blooming here yet.. but lots of Flowering trees, so maybe those are sweet.. Reynoldsville is about 100 miles South of us.. My Mom once had a Carnival Glass Bowl, Black Amethyst.. I think we sold it for 40.00 at her estate sale.

MAX Hope you get all the rain you need to ward off those brush fires.. How is your SIL doing? I pray he is going to be ok.. Did he have to stay long in the hospital? I could not believe it when I went for groceries the other day, and half the shelves at Walmart empty, and coolers completely empty in two areas.. They have 4 or 5 isles of food in cooler/freezers and two of them completely empty.. No Saltines on the shelves.. So many off brands, I suppose because the reg. brands are not available.

KATEY, I hope Mikes Tests come out ok, and Glad to hear the Doc offices are being safety conscience. I went to my Hearing Aid Doc last week and no one wearing masks, He said they are not required to anymore.. I had mine on because of the recent head cold I had.. He thanked me for that. Glad your Cars are all gone.. Yep I suppose mine are not worth anything unless someone wanted to strip them completely and do their own art work.. Maybe they own a body paint shop.. LOL

GORDON you are right its not Prevacid, its Pravigen, not sure on spelling.. but just verified it was no Prevacid.. Are you, Beauty & ? getting much walking in since the weather has cooled down a little.. I also hope Sylvia is getting better every day..

MARSON where are you ? Does anyone remember that TV Sitcom, CAR 54 Where are You? Hope Marson is doing alright up North and the snow has quit.. but they have to be colder then we are and we are still getting occasional Snow flurries..

Went out to lunch today with my reg. 2 friends.. We were all yard salers at one time, and estate sales, One has given it all up.. but we are still great friends, We went to local home owned Italian Rest. where they give every one a sauce dish of Rigatonis or Deep fried Zucchini, your choice.. They had Rigatoni and I had Zucchini.. Very good, Just seems like the time spent was too short..The one friend lives high on a hill, and her yard was all white this morning.. Her car still had snow on it.. LOL We are green down here on the flat land..

GOOD MORNING EVERY POTTIE. IT IS 1:45 AM in the morning here, and when you all are awake to read this I just might still be sleeping.. I have never been an early riser unless I had good reason.. like Work or Estate Sales..

I had almost a whole post to write adn my keyboard (wireless) started acting up, wouldn't let me spell words right or put in spaces etc.. finally remembered I needed to change the battery.. in the process I lost the whole post.. Bummer..

Well Dear Son, finally got to see his Doc who was home from his vacation.. His Blood work, and MRI, showed, he does have Lymphoma & Leukemia. So they have scheduled a Biopsy, and following up with a Port in his Chest, and Chemo.. He seems to be handling it alright on the outside, not sure whats going on inside. He probably feels like I did when I was diagnosed with a Brain Tumor.. Nothing we could do about it, just let the Surgeon/Doctor, do what they do best and take care of it.. Luckily I had a good one, and I have heard good things about our Doc here at the Cancer Center. DIL is very concerned tho.. as I am, but Rick is her Rock, she cannot handle day to day stress, without him.. I hope she does not have to learn to.. We will probably learn more later.. Rick seems to think he never had any Thyroid problems until after he got his Booster shot a few months ago.. He thinks that maybe why his started swelling.. I do not know if anyone can confirm or deny that..

Well I finally got Curtains up now in our new bedroom, over the Blinds.. Part of our Bedroom suite and came in and they will deliver that on Thursday this week. Not sure when the Night Stands will be in.. but we have waited this long. Will be nice to have our clothes downstairs now, so not having to run up and down stairs to fetch clean ones every day. I still like to shower upstairs because thats where the clean clothes are..

Yes we got bombarded today with high winds, rain, snow, from that NorthEasterner that is coming from out West.. the snow did not stick, and just miserably windy, and wet.. Wondering if the there will be any daffodils let or Tulips when its all over.. Sunshine and warmer weather predicted for next week.. Will surely be welcomed.. Spring it coming.

Not sure when the hummingbirds will get here, maybe they will be carried here on the wind that passing through.

SUSAN, how nice you found some Carnival glass all entact, are you going to sell those? I had a Green Saucer, that had a Draped pattern with Grapes on it.. I sold.. Yea Good feeling to have those taxes done and out of the way, right? I know I just finished mine last week too..

MARSON, Saw a story on the News Today about the Colorado River that they depend on for
water has dropped about 20% this year.. and expect to drop some more.. With all the snow and rain Colorado gets where is the water going. Is Canada getting some erratic weather patterns like US is? I never heard of so many Tornados' repeatedly hitting some states over and over, like this year.. I hope you do not have any more snow to shovel this year.

MAX Good you got some rain, surely you will need it to ward off future grass fires.. I too have looked for RR China, but so hard to find.. I found a StarBucks teapot last week, I had never seen one.. but there are lots of them on Ebay.. I was surprised. Thought I found something rare.. LOL SO sorry to hear about your SIL, I hope there is something they can do to help him get well. I hst saw on the news tonight where the adnoids and enlarged tonsils are one cause for Sleep Apnea, No one ever said anything about mine, but often thought I might not have so many nasal problems if they would remove mine..

KATIE, so good to hear Boss has improved, and now remembers his House Training. Good to hear Mike is getting the therapy he needs and your boys are helping to see him through this.. Question about your Match Box cars were they all new ones? I have a couple of cases of them, Step Son painted and look like a Muddy bunch, where he mixed paints.. yuk.. wondering if they are worth anything, from the 1970s / 80s.?

GORDON, That is scary to think you might forget in time, the great life you had traveling around.. Terry is now taking Previcid for his Memory, on his 2nd bottle and says he thinks he notices it being better.. I have noticed it seems to be calming his attitude a lttle.. Thank goodness.. Well you might for get your Boyz names I am sure they will never forget you.. Maybe you and Sylvia could play memory games to keep your memory active.. How much of the China business do you remember.. Tgose are beautiful Green Eggs, all you need now is the Ham..

SUSAN, I agree with MAX you sure seem to accomplish a lot.. You still must be a Spring Chicken.. Takes me forever to start anything and get side tracked before I finish the job.. So takes me forever.. Yes Friends and I are planning another outing the week after Easter, We all admitted we are not getting any younger and who knows who will be the first to go.. It was a yellow light, and the cars across the intersection had stopped, except a car crept up between the two vehicles and tried to beat the yellow light, which was Red by the time he hit me, and I was in the wrong for turning in front of him.. Insurance took care of his vehicle, no one was hurt, Thankfully.. I had to pay increased Insurance Premium for 3 yrs.. Otherwise no charges.. Sometimes S--t happens.. Terry had told me to go ahead when the light was yellow.. He doesn't direct me anymore when I am driving.. LOL

MAX Glad you got some rain, Your Garage door fixed, Your new phone, Good Grief you got a whole bunch of things going on.. Busy lady, why did you want to rent a car? Something special or just to be able to go out when you feel like it? I know I do not go out that much during the winter, but when I want or need to go, its nice having a car waiting.. For so Long Terry said we did not need 2 cars.. Now he decided we do.. Ok with me.. Specially that they are both paid for.. NO Son has not seen his Dr. yet for test results he has an appt. next Wed. or THurs. His Doc. was on vacation, just got back. So every one was put on hold.. Son is feeling worse; but trying not to show it.. His Lymph nodes in neck, groin, and stomach area are all hurting, he has pain patches and meds.. So DIL & I and he are really concerned.. I have not told his Brothers yet, until we get some final news..

I know this is glass, but I feel so bad for myself.. a couple weeks ago I picked up a EAPG Creamer at Sal. Army for 25 Cents.. Amazing they had no idea what it was.. I brought it home and never took it out of the bag until yesterday.. and instantly dropped it on the slate floor. broke the pedestal right off.. It was an 1879 Tree of Life, made by Hobbs.. It has arms and hands locked together for the handle. plus the stem was held in the palm of a hand. I did not know until I looked at over 2000 Creamers last night to find out what I lost.. Bummer.. In my head I thought all a bad dream, if I could just go back, and handle it differently..Too old to cry, but I wanted to..

I finally got Venitian Blinds up in our new bedroom windows, no drapes, Trying to decide what kind. Cottage curtains, or Drapes. or just Valances. I hate those with the big holes at the top for rods.. I like the sheered rod drapes..

MARSON, So glad there are signs of Spring peeking through.. No more shoveling for another 7 or 8 months.. Is your family getting together for Easter? Know you will have Chocolate.. LOL Stay warm..

HI MAX, Good girl getting the vaccuming out of the way, I need to do that too.. Makes me wish we did not have so many.. Still waiting for our Bedroom set that is suppose to be delivered this month and time is running out.. We ordered it in Mid Jan. another Grrrr. Some places require masks to enter their establishment, others do not.. So we abide by the rules.. Mostly the Covid is not that active around here, yet again. So not too concerned.. Did not realize how much we missed us friends getting together until we finally got out.. We want to now plan on it at least Once a Month. None of us getting younger.. I am the oldest then one in the middle, and the youngest is 10 yrs younger.. The Middle one is the one with Health issues.. Such a grand lady/friend. Hope you now have your insurance issues all taken care of . I keep forgetting I need to upgrade ours now with the addition.. with all the additions inside the addition; at the cost of approx. 50,000.00 it should up our insurance for sure,

HI SUSAN, I will have to look up, Hellebroes, not sure what they look like.. Glad your flowers are coming along.. Ours have a way to go, usually the first to bloom are our Forsythias.. Daffodils are only about 4:" up out of the ground.. haven't seen the tops of the Tulips yet.. I bought a Hyacinth in a vase the other day at Walmart, just to set in the window so I could watch it Open and Bloom, it is now all done.. I will take it out and plant it, I might just get another cold snap enough to make it bloom again this year.. I need to get some more to bloom inside, love the smell. Glad you enjoy my posts, I do not have a lot to say, but it looks like I do with the length of my posts. LOL Imagine the conversations we could have.. LOL 🙂

KATEY how is Boss behaving, like he got a new lease on life? I hope he enjoying his pain free movements.. If he is pain free. Is he able to run around the yard yet? Does he have a good appetite? Yes I see a lot of the old names on the book board as well.. Just not sure if the ANN there is the same one that use to post here.. I checked back at IRENEs time here I think 2012 was the last she posted.. if I remember right, forgot she was so close to me here, she in Ohio, me in Pa.

Its only 40* here today and will probably not be any warmer for the next two weeks, unless something changes in the atmosphere before than. Gloomy & rainy here..

My Son has a Doc appt. today, they took MRI & Cat Scan plus extensive Blood Tests, so hopefully he will hear something today.. He is suppose to call me.. I told him he needs to give me a couple of his pictures he has painted I might be able to sell them on ebay.. but I am sure he has other things to think about..

GORDON, How are you, the Kidz & Sylvia doing? and Is your hand and Syl's foot all healing well?

Good Morning ALL ! It is gloomy today. but the gardens need it if they are sprouting.. We had 3 days in a row of sunshine and 60* weather, so that was nice, but I hear the South West is sending us more rain and possibly snow.. So we shall see some changes for awhile.. Local farmer got his corn in these past few days..Checked out the Strawberry field and it seem like any activity going on there yet..

Thank you for all concerns and caring, about my son... He had recently been diagnosed, and last week had extensive Blood tests done, They are going to contact him when they get the results and a team of Doctors decide the best way to approach it.. He is a Vet, but he will be treated by local Cancer hospital. I pray they can treat it and possibly it will not be life threatening.. My Brother had Thyroid Cancer, and just took Pills, and Blood tests twice a year, he has been fine for years.. Hopefully that will be the way it goes with my son as well.

MY OUTING, with two of my friends was a wonderful get together at a local home owned restaurant.. It sort of cleared out after Lunch, and we just sat and talked.. Nice Atmosphere.. We have agreed to do it more often, at least once a month would be nice.. We are going to check out a new place that opened next. Our one friend has Cancer, and treatments every 3 weeks, but she recently got over Covid and they will not give her another treatment until her heart is stronger.. They say the treatments as well as Covid is hard on the heart. so she will get another Cardiogram, or whatever they call it next week.. She is such a nice person/friend. We would hate to lose her..

GORDON, glad things are getting back to normal there in Aussie and the cool weather enables you to sleep better.. Have you been out for any walks lately? How are the Kidz doing? Are they getting fat and lazy? LOL . Glad your able to do more camera work.. I talked to a fella the other day, I had not seen in a while, he had his eyes done and the first time since 4th Grade he could go without glasses.. He said Doc said he could have it done again, should they come back.. My Doc told me not to have it redone. Thanks for the Information about the Gas Tank, I did not know that.. I surely hope that means all newer cars have the same feature..

SUSAN, Believe me I know how heavy trash can get.. the bigger the bag the heavier, so use to smaller ones if you can.. I love that you have all those birds, We do not get many colorful ones except for the finch.. MY In Laws back yard was up against a Creek and the Woods, they saw all kinds of colorful birds in their yard.. We had three old Pine trees, Locust Trees, Maple Trees, a Dogwood; and one Old Cherry tree, Shrubs, but Never got any Cardinals.. We only have one hugh pine tree left now.. 2 removed, one lucust tree removed. I see some prices of gas have come down, Thankfully, We belong to SONIC, and I filled up at 3.99, the other day, when I got a car wash.. They are talking about removing the Fuel Taxes here too, but will believe it when I see it.. they talk a lot; but drag their feet until you get use to paying those high prices..

MAX Sounds like you have entertainment, while you sip your coffee.. We no longer have a patio, due to building onto the back of our house.. But hopefully we will have another in time.. I am beginning to think I too should order groceries for delivery.. I went shopping 2 days, this week and spent near 300.00, at two different stores.. Terry says. I wish you would go more often and not buy so much at one time.. I said are you kidding, the prices are going up and I hate to go shopping. I would rather do it all at one time. He helps me carry the groceries in, so thats why he said that.. LOL I got one of those big slices of ham the other day, Yesterday Cut it up and put it on to boil, while I prepared the Cabbage and Potatoes. Everything was so tender, and good, besides water, I did put a Quart of Veg. Broth in it.. They say it freezes well, but It will not last long enough here, besides the fact I do not have a big freezer.. I heard Sarasota was in line for a Tornado, not sure if it hit there or not.. I also heard Fort Myers mentioned in the news last week.. Still have a big Conch Shell I found in a stream off of the Ocean, when I was there.. Pray your feeling well, and behaving yourself..

Not sure if I mentioned going thrifting the other day to buy some picture frames for 4 prints I bought on Ebay,
by Carlos Hadaway.. I had bought a large picture of his at a Estate sale, and saw on Ebay these prints of his, for 20.00 for 4, so looked for cheap Frames, to sell them individually.. Also picked up a small 6" Carnival Glass Bowl. for 1.99. Same place. Haven't really gone shopping or thrifting much lately.. Our local Auction is opening this month, they told me to come early April.. As they were over stocked.

Wasn't IRENE the One that had a Kidney Transplant, I knew that Irene had passed. I know there were 2 Irenes, so not sure which one had the Heart Attack, mentioned..

KATIE, so sorry to hear about Boss, & Pray the Meds/Shot helps his legs.. My sons dog is so pathetic pulling his back leg along.. but he is still moving along, and always Looking for attention.. I feel so sorry for him.. and sad as it sounds. DIL and DS are not ready to give him up. I am sure you feel the same way.. The meds did not help sons dog, as Doc said it was no Arthritis, it was a pinched nerve in his back leg/hip.. DID massages him often.. Hoping it would help. Your right, seems like people like to look, but slow to bid on ebay.. You almost have to give it away..

MARSON, have you seen any sign of Spring arriving in your area? Well will send some sunshine up your way when we get our fill.. LOL Pray your doing ok, You survived the worse of it, so surely you will do well from now on.. Keep on Smiling.. How are your Son & GF doing? Do they live close by?

the Sun is suppose to shine most of the week.. A couple friends and I are going out St. Patricks Day for brunch.. and all wearing Green.. not planned especially for St. P. day, just happened that way, Suppose to be the best day of the week, with 65* So taking advantage of it.. The 3 of us have not been out together since last year.. Over Due Time..

KATIE, you probably were hit with the same Snow Storm we got.. all Traffic on the Interstate was slowed down to 48 MPH. through our state which is only approx. 60 miles of Hwy. now sure on exact. from NY to Ohio. PENNDOT has been doing that a lot lately to slow traffic down, especially the BIG TRUCKS. So many jack knife coming through here..

MAX Good for you, Keep up the good work. What are you snacking on? I was losing; but I get discouraged easy and wonder what the heck, then start eating all the foods i like that I have on hand.. If Danny did not live here it would be easier, but he is so skinny, he can eat anything and every thing Sweet..
Just found out my Son with the Pond, has Leukemia and his thyroid & blood tests shows its getting worse.. He has not told anyone else that I know of.. I want to tell his Brothers, but I will keep quiet and let him be the one to tell them.. He s such a good son.. The one that is always doing for others.. The others do too, but he is close by, while others out of state. I am glad he retired last year to give himself some time to enjoy life..But they are limited due to raising their GS and with the Addicted Daughter, Not sure what my DIL would do without him.. She is very Hyper, and he is her Rock. I here you on the Gas Prices.. I was lucky enough to find it last week for 4.17 a gallon. Did not know how much I needed where you pay in advance, so I just got 30.00 worth and it filled it 3/4s full.. Now i see people are in such a crunch they are stealing gas.. Not sure why my car does not have a inside lock.. Our 2011 did..

SUSAN, Yes it happened, we got about 6" but the next town over got 14" so we were blessed. LOL Thank goodness I went shopping 2 days before as we had fair warning, that it was coming.. Might go out today.. but not sure yet.. I need to go take a shower.. Do you get any of the colorful birds in your yard, like Blues or Reds or Yellows.. Humming birds are not here yet, right? I have seen sparrows and black birds, is all. Sounds like you are making headway in Bears House, when do you think you will have it all cleared out? Glad you still have things that you have been able to salvage.. Terry saw a groundhog out feeding the other day.. I bet he wishes he ( groundhog) had stayed asleep.

MARSON, how are you doing way up there in the Great White North? any sunshine in your life? How is your son and GF doing? Have not seen you stop by in awhile.. I pray you are ok, and have not fallen, etc. Still doing Puzzles? Take care of yourself and stay warm. Spring is bound to get here, but not sure it will be on schedule..

GORDON, I know I saw pictures on TV of one area, not sure what state, but it look absolutely horrible.. cannot imagine how those people can deal with it.. Where did they all go? Not sure on how big of an area it affected.. Is it because they have poor drainage? Good to hear Sylvia is able to bear some weight now on her foot.. and pray she continues healing / getting better..

I meant to mention, Yes I remember Michael & Ginger, Once Michael had a contest going on the Pottery Board, and I won, the Prize.. Gingers Choc. Chip Cookies and Nice big container (I still have today) of Choc. Chip Cookies she baked, they truly were delicious and I was so Thankful.. I do not bake much, as I would have to help eat them.. It was Sad to hear about Michael passing.. and Know Ginger had several Bouts with Cancer, so she is finally at peace and deserves it, she went through a lot taking care of Michael..

Where is Everyone, Spring setting in and you all have Spring Fever? Your out working in the garden, Right? Well we were threatened with snow yesterday, thats how cold it is; but nothing materialized.. So thats a good thing, and the sun shined all day.. but oh so bitter cold.

Not a lot happening here.. took back the drapes I bought for the new bedroom, Not a fan of those new Big holes at the top to put a rod through, and only one panel in a package. Hard to find other kinds of drapes, in pairs.. What ever possessed some one to decide to sell them in Panels.. Greed possibly? After taking the drapes back, I went to Lowes to look at Blinds, wanted the kind all in one Where I did not have to clean one slat at a time.. Found some nice looking ones, you just push up or pull down No cords.. But only came in 72" lengths which they can not cut down. only able to cut the width to size.. So be it, would have cost near or over 300.00 and did not want to spend that much on 3 windows.. Terry says IF that is what you want get them.. so will think about it.. New Bedroom Set is not here yet.. Called them, and no way to hurry them.. At least we have the Purple Mattress and Base, so we are not sleeping on the floor..

SUSAN, how are sales looking this week at the Shop? Hopefully with spring upon us you will be getting some tourists shopping by.. I noticed one of the BIG Antique Stores, Way up here, in a nearby town is up for sale, if anyone in the market to buy one for their own, with lots of
Rental spaces.. Not sure the price. Nice you got a buyer for your Tapes, You selling or donating? Those Radko Ornaments are beautiful.. I have some miniature ones for small tree, each on marked on the cap, listed on Ebay, but not a lot of interest in those.. I thought more Southern Ebayers would be interested in downsizing for full sized trees.. Hopefully Kermits AC just needs recharged. What year is Kermit? My sons trucks AC does not work either.. He has had it recharged, so may have a leak..

GORDON, How is your Flood Waters, have they receded? Hope it has by now. Time for a nice Fall walk.. Do you birds change colors in the fall/winter? I was told yesterday our Yellow Finches, turn Brown in the winter, I did not know that or ever hear of it.. Wondering if they molt first? My best to You and Sylvia, Pray she is recovering and getting around ok.

HI KATIE, I did not know about putting the car in 2nd Gear either, when driving on a donut.. I always get a full size tire as a 5th wheel, in case needed.. But the instructions say not to drive over 50Mph.. on it.. So how is your tread? I do not drive that much now, specially with the gas prices going up.. Last night I filled up at Local Gas Station ran by Asian people at 4.17 a gallon.. Where every where else it was 4.39 to 4.54 a gallon.. 4.17 sounded pretty good.. Jow much in your area.. I know it will keep going up and hit 5.00 I imagine by summer.. when people want to travel.. Thank you Biden, and Putin. We have reserves, and we have other sources, we should not have to depend or sacrifice due to their wars. At least for a short term. I remember when we bought new tires for the Old 2011 Hyundai they had to put in New Stems before I even drove it.. So were they faulty when they put them in? AND was it just a feature to steal more free money from the Customers? Your tires should good for at least 40,000 miles, so your good for another 35,000 miles. '8>) They told me I am good until the next Check up, which will probably take me another 2 yrs to achieve..

MARSON, is there any sign of Spring happening where you are? I am sure you all are ready.. Tho here, it really has been a mild winter.. When it snowed it was bad, but short lived.. Daffodils are up about 3" So thats a plus.. Thinking Positive.

Heard from REEN, she and Gil are doing ok, She says she does not get on Computer much, mostly texts on her phone. Since I do not text she had to resort to calling me.. LOL But So good to hear from her.. Thankfully Gil keeps on.. She said he Motorized her bike so its easier for her to go biking.. How nice huh? He must be a handy guy to have around..She has her 70th BD coming up, In April I think.

Hi ALL, Not a lot going on here.. Heater in the garage, quit working day after they delivered the Propane, Now the Tank/Fuel Company needs to come out and replace the regulator. Who knows when that will be.. it took 2 weeks for them to deliver the fuel.. Next Year I do not think they will get our business.. too Laxidasial, We have used them for years, but seems to be taking us for granted.

Sister from Fl. called today, saying she has not been out of the house since Christmas. She is on Oxygen.. Her Husband does all their shopping lucky for her.. He was out today doing a Funeral, He is a Member of the colored Guards for the VFW.. Says lots of funerals lately..

Our Shower doors are coming today, We will have to draw straws to see who uses it first.

SUSAN, I hear you about thinking of the pain Sons Dog, is having, but know they are so use to him being in their lives, and hate to lose him.. I am sure that lady that was bit and lost her dog, will be getting lots of advice as to where to go, from friends and family, or even the Humane Society.. if they dare.. I have a Shark, that my friend gave me and it sure has powerful suction.. as a vaccum, I believe it would be the same as a Carpet Shampooer, but it is heavy, but its almost self propelled.. I would have someone demonstrate how any you look at works.. I hope Zac's Children grow up to be just like their parents.. and help others..

Goodness I guess today is the day People are thinking of me.. First my Sister called from Ocala, Than my friend called, just now I got off the phone.. My Niece in Ohio called.. I think she just needed someone to talk to.. I should call her more often.. She told me things I never knew, and they must have been preying on her mind.. So glad she was able to call me and get it off her chest. Not good to keep it all bottled up inside when its so disturbing for a person. Talked for 45 min..

MAX, Well damage was more extensive in their Sons home then they had anticipated.. He was going to repair it himself, until he got into the walls and decided it might not be safe. So they at first stayed in a motel, but they have 3 Poodle sized dogs, and then they were offered a Motor home to use until they got things figured out.. They own their own land, so they went and bought a new Double Wide Home.. 115,000.00 Boy those prefab or mobile homes are expensive in Florida..They need to move their above ground pool first. They let me know they have a 3 bedroom, for when i come down to visit.. Hope its within my lifetime.. LOL
How is the Pup doing? is he fitting in with the family now, and behaving? I hope your vine comes back of the fence, depending if its a hardy variety or not.. I need to find someone to shampoo my carpets, sure has to do better then Stanley Steamer did the last time I had paid to have it done..
Went shopping yesterday, after hearing we were to get another snow/ice storm.. Looked for Nabisco Crackers, One store had none, the other had 3 crushed boxes left, I bought the one the least damaged.Soups another product that is scarce.. Cereals were another thing with empty shelves.. What have you noticed missing, that were empty shelves are now. ?

MAX, No not the son in Ga.. this one lives in Silver Springs, outside of Ocala.. I called him and sent him email yesterday but no one answered.. So I pray every thing is going smoothly for them. He was going to try and do the repair work himself, but found too much other damage from Water & Smoke, so not sure now what the plan was..
Well I think Your Pup must have liked the attention he got at your house, and was homesick when someone else took him home.. I hope he is behaving now, and appreciates the home he has.. Lady here, with her little Chihuahua was bitten by 2 or 3 pit bulls, her dog died, she had to have stitches.. She heard after a quarantine they were going to release the dogs back to owner.. So she is still worried they will be loose again. Telll Mrs Clean, My carpeting needs done when she gets some extra time.. My friend gave me her new Shark Vaccuum/Shampooer, it was too heavy for her to move.. It is but it does a good job..

MARSON I can relate to all your snow, altho in our warm up Sun & Mon. most of it melted, and suppose to rain today, so possibly more flooding.. Lucky we have Gravel Ground, so we do not get any flooding here..in our yard. Some basements in other areas were flooded.. What a mess that would be.

JIM, I am still selling on Ebay.. And I like the move that Ebay made, No different then giving Pay Pal your Bank acct. on eBay.. I make more money as Pay Pal does not take their cut.. But I too have been thinking of opening another bank acct. just for Ebay Sales.. A smart thing to do I think.. Best of Luck when you start selling again..

SUSAN, Sounds like your friends and loved ones remembered you too.. Sons Shepherd does not have Hip Displasia, but he has something wrong with his back leg.. Vet said not in his hip.. So whatever it is.. We feel so sorry he is not his old self..It pains me to see how he has to get around, by dragging his one leg.. Since he does not want to go out anymore, its getting harder and harder for the whole family.. They see the need to put him down, but he is so loveable they do not want to part with him.. I told my son he has to consider the dogs feelings too, and he let me know it was his and my DIL place to make that decisiton.. And I know they both love him so.. DIL always feels safe with the Dog in the house, they are very attached. I know just the thought of his pain or having to be put down, brings tears to my eyes.. Does Zac have a son? or just the one daughter? Would be nice to have a strapping young offspring to carry on his Fathers chores.. I hear you about Dads, I always admire a Father that takes care of, plays with and is interested in what their kids do..God Bless them, and wish their were more of them..

He is the one who had a fire in his home last month. no one hurt, thankfully he was still up when he noticed the smoke, but total loss, due to water and smoke, and hole in their house from Firemen getting to the source. Good Afternoon Everyone. I pray your all well fed. and healthy. and Stay that way!
Not much going on here, but I think we got some of the weather that Katie got.. It was like 50* yesterday. raining all day, Before 5:00 PM the Temp had dropped to 36, Later, Sleet, Icy Roads, and by Midnight it started snowing.. We got about 3" I believe, suppose to get 5" but it was awfully windy.. They said due to the rain yesterday, and the snow drifts, which are nearly all gone, they were worried about Flooding in some areas. Thinking some Flooding averted due to the Quick Freeze.. Went out yesterday, in the rain, but no way do I need to go out today or tomorrow, I think its suppose to warm up over the weekend.. Go figure, What is going on with our Changing weather patterns.. Stay safe Everyone..

Well still have not slept in the new bed.. Not sure I will like a foam mattress, after sleeping all these years on a Firm mattress. But Terry says I will like it, something I will need to get use to I imagine.. From what they say it has plenty of support..

GORDON, I was thinking.. Terry always says that means trouble.. Why don't you and Sylvia tie the knot, You will both be forever taken care of.. Good news on Sylvias Foot, I am sure she was pleased too. I hope she obeys the Doc orders and takes it easy..
Love the birds you post, so beautiful.. Hoping Your Eye surgery still allows for you to see them, and photograph them, and Share! I too have Close up and Distant Lens put in.. No controversy the Doc did what he thought best.. The only problem my Career was in Quality Control, and i could not longer See small defects. But I was close to retirement anyhow.. I was able to go without glasses for about 10 to 15 yrs, I forget, then as my sight got worse I had to start wearing glasses again. Bummer.. I did have the laser surgery not long after Original surgery.. But Now the Doc tell me I would not benefit from anymore.. So Be It !

SUSAN, Glad to hear your sales pay the rent, other wise its like giving it all away.. but still it must seem like it. I know I will lose a lot by taking mine to the Auction as well, but it has to go and its something, Not up to Donating all of it.. Was at my sons yesterday, they now have 3 cats, one a stray they took in 8 yrs ago, and their GS has one, he had to have after His Mother got one, she would not share..LOL DIL says they have been catching a lot of mice, and playing with them alive or dead.. Feeling sorry for the mice.. They have brought them into the house, too.. LOL There Ger. Shepherd is getting worse, he can hardly make it off the porch to go out in the yard, and getting back in is harder.. Son says he is afraid he might have to put him down, and he does not want to take him to the Vet, because he knows thats what he will say.. The Dog is so loveable, he wants constant Attention, petting, ears scratched, and keeps nudging family to get it.. LOL Feeling so sorry for him.. Hate to see him hurting. His back hip/leg is hardly able to support him. They have tried every thing including Glucosomine.
Spelling?? ..He has been a faithful and devoted member of the family... What started me on that is your Chipmonks.. Maybe your Cats could help you get rid of them, just let them lurk in the yard a few days.. Yes my Dad, was not a keeper, he was married 3 times I think, the 2nd one cleaned him out one day while he was at work.. but he was a ladies man, handsome guy too, A Scoundrel I think you would call him. Very Selfish, I think.

KATIE, I hope you are feeling so much better now.. Was it the Stomach Flu? Did Mike Get it? I too go to bed with my book, just do not need the choc. Had my share on Vee Day.. Got Terry 6 choc, covered strawberries and me 6, Our GS came over and helped me eat mine.. So good.. Glad your Pup is bouncing around and feeling better..

MARSON, I love to do puzzles, but would need to take breaks also, to rest the eyes.. Probably a good thing your friend did not pick you up if the weather is that bad up there.. Puzzles can get tedious.. Son & DIL often put puzzles together, together.. they have a Card table set up in their living room.. So watching TV while putting the puzzles together.. I got them a big on for Christmas; of Santa Claus, & toys, but I do not think they put it together yet.. Stay warm and cozy..

MAX, and New Pup on the agenda at your home? I too noticed the days are getting longer.. I hate going shopping and by the time I am done it is dark out.. I know I should go out earlier, but always one more thing to do before I go out.. I had Pork Ribeye Chops yesterday, first time I ever heard of them, got them at Walmart, Broiled them in the oven, both sides 3 or 4 min. and they were very tender.. I have not relisted anything on Ebay until I get this house put back together.. Might make me move a little faster.. Got new flooring put down in Computer area.. Now I have to be careful as my Desk chair rolls too easy.. Been that route before.. '8>)

GOOD MORNING ALL ! Got our carpeting put in the bedroom, this morning.. Bed is to be delivered next Monday. So I guess I need to get the drapes hung.. Rods are up already.. We have laminated floors in new bedroom & bath, but feared with no basement under it, it will be cold.. So padding and carpet called for.. Its a Blue/Brown tweed Berber.. Looks nice. Our bed an adjustable frame so Terry does not have to sleep flat. A Theaputic Purple Bed.. I just saw one advertised, on the Olympics ( I believe) last night..

SUSAN, Oh I felt so bad when Shawn White Skidded out on his first try last night, So happy when he came back to Qualify.. I watched most of the Olympics just to see his run..
Well That was nice Selena could play Santa and deliver all your Gifts, you are some Fairy God Mother for sure. I hear you about your Father's will.. My Father did not do much for me either growing up, then when I got married, he wanted to have my husband arrested because I was not of legal age.. At least My Husband took care of me.. Which Father never did after I was 3.. but he lived with us when he could no longer work for a living. Lots of Gall huh? When we broke up, after 21 yrs, and we sold the house he asked, "BUT What About Me?" I always loved my Dad, BUT... Again, so happy you have Zac as your neighbor.. I think others often wish they had such nice neighbors.. As for our Will lots will depend on who goes first. Terry is a Softee, Me I do, for for who appreciate it.. Not so much for those ungrateful for all they have been given..

KATIE, So sorry you had to drink, all that "Stuff" and might have to go through it again.. Not to be nosey, but how old are you? if I may ask, if you would rather not say.. thats ok.. Seems once the Doc told me after I was 75 I would not have to have it done again, but seems like I did one more time.. How wonderful for your family to have a New Baby Boy in the family. The last baby in Terrys fam. they named Moira, Now 5, after a character in a movie.. Sounds hard to say, I think of something short to call her can only think of IRA, but she might not like that.. I have so many GGGK, Whose names I hardly know, most of them in Fl.. Lucky to remember the Great Grand kids let alone their off springs.. Sadly..

GORDON Beautiful Bird, Wish we had more colorful ones here.. The Humingbirds, Yellow Finch, Cardinals, Blue Bunting, Blue Jay, & Orioles are the most colorful ones we have that I am aware of anyhow. Oh how horrible for Sylvia... How is she taking the news? Will be praying for her.. My Ex MIL, had Sugar and they were going to cut her foot off one time, from the ankle, She said, No way, " I came into the world with 2 feet I am going out of this world with 2 feet." . She lived for about 10 yrs after.. all in one piece.. but probably could not recommend that procedure for anyone else.. One has to be able to trust their doctors. My best to her.. Prayers !! You my friend, are a great one, to her.. Good Luck on your Laser Surgery, I went to new Eye Doc a couple weeks ago.. He said he saw no benefit for me at my age going through Laser Surg. as it could do more harm for me than benefit. Do not mess with a good thing.. So I will continue to wear glasses..

MAX Pray all is well in your household.. Good to see Tracey selling again, she always fines such interesting things. Interesting to hear if and when they get another Dog.. Fixed an easy dinner last night.. Peeled and diced potatoes, had a bag of mixed Veg. Had 3 Chicken Breasts, Diced, browned, and opened a 16 oz jar of chicken Gravy, put it all in a casserole baked for 1.5 hours and Fixed a box of Stove Top Stuffing and Walla, Instant (almost) Dinner, Went over well, and so easy.. Enough for left overs tonight. I think it would have frozen well for left overs, another day.

HI EVERYONE FROM THE COLD TUNDRA (whatever that means) in the Erie County, PA. Sun has been out all day but not thawing, much.. My car finally can be seen.. I used Terrys car to go shopping last night and hopefully got enough to last another Week or so.. Will be glad when we do not have to navigate the path from house to driveway. I think it got to 32 today.. which it was last night.. I only brought the important stuff in from car last night, Terry Surprised me, did me the favor of fetching the rest of the groceries from car today.. It took all his energy, now he is relaxing, and catching his breath.. I fixed him a sandwich, as a Thank you.

Oh so envious of you seeing teh Northern Lights on a very rare ocassion we can see them if the air quality is right when looking across the Lake Erie, to Canada/Alaska.. but not often. and not very vivid.. Take care stay warm, and inside, when you can..

SUSAN, Good to hear you finally had company of your GC to retrieve her Christmas Goodies.. Nice to have Christmas in Feb.. Susan I agree too with Bear on handling of his will.. STEP SON & GRANDSON I am sure would be around to collect if anything happened to us.. But Terry does not feel the same, since I have 4 sons and he only has 1, He will certainly want to leave his Son something, Even if he does squander it. He is 43 and still acts like 17.. His son is 22 and is more mature then his father. What are you going to do? Now if Terry goes before me, I will definitely have to write a new will. I would leave him a small sum, as he surely has spent his inheritance on all he put on us, while stumbling through life.. Once we had to put a 2nd mortgage on the house because of him.. Grrr. Terrys Daughter is a Sweetheart..
Glad to hear you fishies and birds are all content in your little corner of the world.. Surely your kitties are content also.. You do not have any dogs anymore do you.. Seems you once had one, I think I remembered.. Maybe not..

Step Son once brought a stray home.. while we were waiting for Rescue to pick him up he chewed the Corner of Terrys family rocker off.. His Grandfather had built the rocker from wood of an old piano.. We will forever keep the rocker as long as we are alive anyhow.. We also have a Grandfathers Clock he made out of an old Chest of Drawers.. Complete except for the Clock works.. Always wanted to get them but never had enough money to squander.. LOL Now we could but who will care enough after we are gone..
I never liked PitBulls or what are those other strong jawed Dogs, Oh RottWeilers.. I would not own any of them, tho I am told if raised right, they are good dogs.. but not growing it from a Pup.. Is scarey as you really only have the word of the shelter.. and they have to believe anything the owner tells them. They might have gotten rid of yours for the very same reason, he liked to chew.. Hopefully they can find a more gentle well trained dog..

HELLO From the Deep Freeze in and around Erie, Pa. Yes we got hit hard the other day and again last night on top of what we had.. the pile Of snow I fell in is still there with about 2 feet on top of that now.. Much drifting.. The fella that plows our Driveway, was here and now snow about 5 feet deep, hard to see over it.. and it is still snowing.. Suppose to stop today sometime, and by mid next week suppose to warm up to 32.. so maybe it will start moving. My men cannot get out to shovel as they are Oxygen Deprived.. So I might have to go do it.. Have Step son, and Grandson that are fit enough to come shovel us out, but they never call to see if we need anything or any help.. I sense a ungrateful Grandson who was here all the time when growing up.. Oh well..
Put our Trash Tote out Wed Night, and it did not get picked up.. Last night it was laying down in the driveway due to the forceful wind.. Now it is in the snow bank.. I can see the lid over top of snow. Will be so happy to see a thaw..

Well Good to read all the news from Every one.. Much too much to respond to it all but enjoyed reading it.. and Pray You all are staying warm.. and with a full belly.. DH went out before the snow yesterday, and got Bread & Milk, he does not grocery shop, so not surprised he did not bring more home.. We have canned soup and food in freezer, so we will get by.

KATIE, Good Luck on your Colonoscopy.. What do you mean youi concoct your own drink? I usually added 7 UP to mine.. Know no Orange or Red, allowed to be added.. Never thought of Broth.. I use to drink Broth and eat Crackers for lunch at work.. really liked the Broth they put in the Coffee Machines. I see you got your winters share of snow, Praying Spring comes early for you..

SUSAN, you are Blessed to have Zac as your neighbor.. and a good example for his daughter.. Hopefully she will grow up to taking care of you too... I did not realize your Fish did not get cold enough to sleep all winter.. but maybe this winter will be different.. You seem to keep active.. between your yard, your shop, and the critters.. Well as Max had asked.. The builder came over and Drilled a hole through our Partial Basement wall and stuck a Pipe from the furnace through to our addition so Heat gets under the floor, and our Hot Water is up and running again.. We now have heat if nothing else in our New Bedroom, they got the Wall Unit Heater hooked up and running.. The Drapery Rods are up.. waiting for the Carpeting before I put up the drapes.. Doubt we will get our carpeting in until we have a thaw.. Shower Doors will be installed by March 17th. Bedroom set to be delivered sometime March. Not sure about our Stand Alone Frame & Purple Mattress will be delivered.. It should be here this month..

Our Govt. is mailing 4 sets of test kits, FREE, for the Covid, to Each Household that requests them.. But you have to go on line and request them. We do not really need them, but if any symptoms arise, we will have them on hand to use.. they are having a little problem with Apartments all being in one building if they all have the same house number.. with they only allow 1 set of 4, to each address.. I guess they will get it figured out..

Cheers from the Frozen state of Pa.. Our water in new bathroom thawed by last night.. Builder is coming over later to do something to help prevent that.. More insulation at time of installation, might have helped.. There is no basement under that addition, so maybe installation and a vapor barrier might have been called for.. or maybe whatever they did just was not enough..

Just go to that site on line, all they want is your name & address, they said it would be sent out when they get them in.. PO will deliver.. Lets hope we never need them.. Dinner sounds good.. Hows Mike doing, can he carry on conversations with you? My Friends husband will respond but does not speak in paragraphs, Barely sentences.. but he does give her 2 or 3 word responses.. She enjoys getting phone calls. Gives her a little venting time..

We had Marie Calendars Lasagna last night for dinner, Cottage Cheese & Mixed Veggies.; Tonight I am either making Beef Tips, Gravy & Noodles OR Stuffed Peppers.. haven't decided.. Bought 5 Peppers the other day, .88 Cents each. So I do not want them to go bad on me..LOL Danny's friend was here yesterday, they visit in the garage and watch TV, We have heat out there so pretty comfortable.. Just as I took Dannys Breakfast, Sausage & Scrambled Eggs, out to him, I seen that His friend had arrived, Luckily he said he already had, had breakfast, I only had enough for my brood.. They have friends,There Pastor from Fl. who moved to Ga.. over there, they go in nice weather to visit with them. Now there son and family has moved there from San Diego, Ca. So its nice they have family there now.. How old is Zac? Nice that he moved next to you, have they been there long? I am sure you appreciate him..

Well we did get hammered last Sunday Night, we got about 2 feet, protected by the lake.. Further South they got 3 feet.. Yes Susan we are about 80 miles from Buffalo.. Sure do not know how those Football players survive 3 hours in these sub freezing temperatures. Watching the 49ers & Green Bay playing tonight, Lots of cold air breaths to be seen.. Looked like GB was going to win, but have to go check..
Dannys friend came by last Tuesday, brought his own shovel.. and shoveled a path around the garage to come in back door, to visit in the Man Cave.. Than he cleaned off Terrys car and Mine, then shoveled a path from Driveway to the Front door.. I made the guys a sandwich to repay him.. Nice guy.. At Christmas his wife made a 12" tray full of all kinds of home made cookies, for us..
My good friend Next row over whom has Cancer and getting treatments, Contacted the Covid.. from her husband, She cannot get the vaccines due to her treatments.. 3 weeks now and she is still sick.. I feel so bad for her.. So if you can send prayers up for Marie I would appreciate it.. Her kids are doing a good job of looking out for her, asked her if I could get her anything from Walmart or if anything she needed she said No she was Good.. My other good friend here, Said I better be prepared as she may never get any better.. I did not want to hear that.. But I hear a lot of about people with Underlying conditions..

Anyways.. MAX, I did not know we have been corresponding that long.. I remember when you got Stuie.. Goodness, and time is still flying by.. So good to hear you had a positive report from your heart Doctor.. Keep up the good work.. My car seems to go well in the snow, but I do not venture out if I know it will be icy.. The Car has 4 wheel drive, but never have used it.. Its due for inspection already.. Just rolled over 7000 miles on it.. Terrys car has 3500 miles.. He does not venture far.. LOL when we pass they can sell it as Hardly Driven by the Little old Folks from Pasadena (North East).

KATIE, So sorry to hear about your Gall Bladder, are they going to treat you for gall stones, or whats their plan? I hope the pain meds are working for you.
My Brother lives in Marian NC about 50 miles from Ashville.. He built a house on the side of a mountain.. but sold it when he got married, Good thing I could not imagine being stuck up there in the winter.. You take care..

So sorry to hear of Sylvia having another round to suffer through, so that is why her hand did not heal quickly huh? Didn't realize that before.. My friend just had a toe removed who has Sugar.. She was lucky, it healed up pretty good after 3 than 4 weeks, So she is back into shoes. Hers was in and out surgery, but she had her son with her to help out at home. I pray Sylvia will heal quickly.. Love that picture of the Dove.. She, but probably a Him.. looked so regal..

Katie, not sure how Someone with Dementia makes a VA claim, maybe if you have POA that would help.. My Nephew has brain Cancer (3) they operated on one but the others they cannot.. he also had a Stroke about 3 or 4 years ago, and cannot remember a lot of things, He can drive tho.. He can hardly carry on a conversation, he speaks in 3 or 4 word sentences.. But he gets Disability from SSI, he is afraid to go for VA Disability because he thinks he might lose what help he gets, He lives in Ohio, and I in Pa. so I am not much help for him.. He lives alone, all of his Bills go to NC for his Father to pay for him, because he cannot handle the Bills.. Sad.. Anyways what I meant to say when I started this.. is does not matter how long a person has had the Military disability, they Start your compensation when You first file a claim, or first get treated for it.. So do it as soon as you can, if you have not already. My Nephew was in Desert Storm, Thinking many Vets got Brain tumors from the Oil fires they had over there.. My husband has PTSD but he never filed for it, as he had enough other problems, Agent Orange Cancer in two instances.. He now gets 100% My Son has hearing problems they attributed to the Service, he gets 20%. He also was a Paratrooper, has not complained of his back Yet.. Good Luck to you with the VA.. PS You can always appeal any VA decision that was made.

GORDON, I take Omeprazole 40 mg. I was told to take it every day, but also read where its not healthy to take it over a long period, so i only take it when I think I might eat something spicey, like Pepperoni Pizza or Pasta. But sometimes Juices stir things up too, guess its probably the acid..
Glad you are there for the both of you, staying at Slyvias.. You have been friends for a long time, from what I remember.. Goodness that means we have been hanging around here for eons too.. LOL We also had a John Deere, husband just had to have.. it became to hard for him to Ride the tractor/mower, so he sold it, now we pay someone else to mow.. Glad you too are staying safe by staying in one place.

SUSAN, My son covers his fish, with netting so can get into his pond and he quits feeding them for the winter, they pretty much are dormant through the cold weather here.. and live off the bottom of the pond, if need be. Your flowers must be glorious when in bloom.. Good luck to us both in downsizing.. I am with you, I cannot stand Cold, but yet here I am.. LOL Loved living in Fl. Even tho Jan was cold, I know spring was on its way. My Son & DIL in Ga. both are just getting over the Covid.. Neither had their shots due to it not being sanctioned by the FDA and Their Daughter had Gullian Barre disease once when she got a shot, so feeling they are safer without the vaccine, Thankfully neither too sick.. but had been tested positive..

His wife was in bed sleeping, but he did not go when she did, why they are still alive today.. He called the FD Quick enough, that it just ruined one end. One their own land, so no one else was close to them. How is your SIL doing, is he back to his normal routine?

KATIE, I have never been put out when I had Ultra Sounds done. but Pray that they do not find anything they need to fix, and your in tip top shape.. But when I have had an Endoscopy done they do put me in LaLa Land to relax you.. I have a Hiertal Hernia they are keeping a watch on.. and I take Acid reflux meds so it does not get worse..

MAX, Good That they had hard evidence that the bike was your SIL.. Did not know they had to register bikes in Fl.. They have not enforced that here as of yet anyhow.. Terry & I use to play cards a lot when we lived in Fl.. As we did not know a whole lot of people either besides my family who were miles away..

The prediction that food prices are going to keep going up, is not good news.. Some of the prices they quoted were 100% increase, What is the cause of that? Maybe the bad weather has ruined the future growth of what is needed..

Well its New Years Day. HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYONE.. even tho it is 5 minutes to Jan. 2nd.

You all have been much too busy puts me to shame.. We did nothing today but watched movies we had recorded. Started Sauerkraut & Pork yesterday early evening so dinner all cooked for today.. You'd think it was Sunday as I had a day of rest.. It has been a miserably Gloomy/Rainy day.. I do mean Gray.. Needed a light on mostly all day.. Luckily no one had any place to be..
I went to my sons and DIL last night to celebrate bringing in the new year.. GD & her BF were there and we played Aggravation, than Poker the rest of the evening, and ate Sauerkraut & Pork that my DIL made.. So it was a nice night, DH says he was not going..He does not go out at night much, does not like driving at night. I think the first NYE we have not spent together in 42 yrs.. I enjoyed getting out for a fun night, first in many moons.. besides when I went to Bingo with some friends in the fall.

KATIE, I am happy to hear it was nothing life threatening for you in the hospital.. Surprising you are so small and have high Cholesterol. Mine is high also but I cannot take Statins, they have tried most every brand of meds that might help.. The last one I tried hurt my muscles so bad I thought I was having a heart attack, chest hurt so bad.. Normally just the arm muscles that hurt.. So the Doc has given up and trusting to me to eat healthier.. But I am addicted to food..

SUSAN, Good to hear you are having good sales, bout time, huh? I have been doing pretty good on Ebay lately. and I like the way Ebay is putting the money saved directly into my bank acct. No more Pay Pal taking out there piece of the pie. I keep thinking I should just get rid of all my stuff, like Katie.. But she has more stamina then I do. I cannot pass up a good bargain. I have been steering clear of sales pretty much.. I know Terry would be so happy if I got rid of it all.. He was never into yard sales or estate sales except when kids were young we use to go with them for something to do.. They grew up, and all that ended for him.. I am with you on not liking cold weather below 70* I am wearing a jacket in the house..

I went to the thrift store to get more books, last Monday, and there was not a parking place opened, so I just drove right on by.. Who needs to go shopping at a Thrift store the day after Christmas day weekend? Besides me?
Boy I wish we could grow Mangos here.. Didn't realize you had a tree.. I remember Gordon, when He & Mum were in their home, had Mangos coming out his ears.. Wishing then I could have some.. We can buy them here but only need a couple at a time.. They use to be 1.00 each.. now not sure we even can get any.. Grocery shelves are getting so bare.. The clerks says they order stuff but do not get all that they order.. My sons Protein Drinks by Kelloggs have not been in stock for over a week, they cannot get it in..

GORDON, so happy your hand is healing so well, can you use it for just about anything now? How are the Pups? Seems like they have settled in pretty good there, wondering if they miss the road trips? How about you? IS Sylvia doing ok now, If you went on a road trip would she do Ok on her own.. well None of my business, I would think you would be missing out on your nomad life, a little.. Now that you mentioned it, The Colonoscopy is invasive, where Ultra sounds are external, not sure how they could do anything inside when they are only on the outside of the skin.. I have had several Chest Ultrasounds Checking my Carotid Arteries. But then again, they never had to do anything, maybe its all Laser Surgery..

OH Susan if you find any Albums in New still sealed Condition, I might be interested.. when you go for your next dig... I must have near 500 albums and still buying more, not sure why.. LOL Love the covers..

I got out our small artificial Tree and put in the window yesterday.. I had picked up some small ornaments at a Church sale, that I put on it.. One bag of about 12 white ornaments, in different shapes, all had a little metal hang tag on the top hanging loop, Dept 56.. Wonder if those are worth money.. I had never seen any before and did not notice that when I bought them.. Only about a dozen of them, but so cute.. All Red & white, Santa claus, Snow Men, Christmas Light bulb shaped. Surprised Son & Husband, that I had bothered.. I suspect if they were not with me, I might not bother..

Thankfully he too likes to read.. so a good way to spend the time recuperating.. YES ! My Fenton bowl sold, I could have sold 9 of them.. much more action on FB then on Ebay.. The group is for FENTON, so they might know more about Fenton then those on Ebay.. So if you have Fenton good to the professionals.. LOL Forget giving it away on Ebay.. I wish I had asked more for it.. but I paid 3.00 for it at an estate sale the family was having, they did not know it was Fenton.. and I did not know either until I had it identified.. It was only made for 2 yrs 1935 & 36.

KATIE I must have missed it, what were you in the hospital for if I am not prying too much.. I do not remember reading what was going on with you.. But I pray you are recovered now.. Nice Tree, Surprising you had the strength after the hospital stay.. How is Mike doing. Sounds like he might have had a nice Road Trip.. as you say it was good for him.. Nice Fire Pit you won, we use to have one made of stacked bricks in our back yard, Son and Terry enjoyed having a fire, Me not so much.. Too cold when they had them.. Not a fan of getting cold.. I am 10 to 15* colder then anyone else.. if its below 75* I am cold..

Well we are in a mess here and I seem to be so busy, but getting nothing done.. Its a rainy gloomy day here today. Yesterday it was pleasant the day before Very sunny.. We did not get anything but high winds from the Tornados that tore through Kentucky, how devastating that had to be for all of those people.. I pray all well insured.. Lost many branches, but our trees still standing..

WELL Dropping by to Thank you all for your Birthday Wishes.. On the Glass board, whom I also stopped by to Thank, I see many selling on FB and some in FB Jail.. For some reason they have made it hard for me to get on FB, but going in through a back door, my son left for me in a message. I Listed a piece of Fenton for 25.00 and have had Many inquiries, I have not packed it up yet or decided who will be receiving it.. I suppose the first one that asked about it..

KATIE, Thank you for your Best Wishes.. You too sound like you have a lot going on.. Between You, Boss, & your Car.. Hope you will all be alright, Is Mike doing well also I hope? I pray all goes well soon. Feel so sorry for Boss.. My sons dog is not aging well either.. and like his one hip is locked into place so he is limping all the time, Doc said nothing they can do to make it better without putting him through a bunch of pain.. The Dog seems to be dealing with what he has, doesn't need anymore trauma..

HI SUSAN, Thank you also for the BD Wishes.. So nice of everyone to remember.. Have you got to see BEAR recently? Does he still know you? I hope so. It is so heartbreaking when they no longer recognize their loved ones.. Did you ever finally get your Aunts affairs all in order and Got rid of that Quack of a Lawyer? I hope your neighbor who helps you is well, and thankfully you have a good neighbor.. Sounds like you had a good sale at the Shop.. Everyone deserves a good sale now and then..

MAX I know I still owe you a couple emails.. Always good to hear from you. I did not know after Cataract Surgery your eyes might get blurry again, and they could do Laser surgery on the New lens? I had asked my Eye Doc about it and he said No.. Well I have not been pleased with him the last 2 times, he is in late 70s to early 80s, not sure how old, but I made an appt with a new Eye Doc and going to see what he has to say about my last prescription, I did not get filled, due to the exam he gave me was different then the last few I had.. Worries me, He should be retiring.. but its not until Jan.28th a month away.. Take care.

Good Morning ALL. A little cloudy here.. Suppose to have spotty rain, all week.. including the 4th weekend.. But we have nothing planned. Rick is still working on Expanding his Deck. Than he wants to build a roof over it all.. Right now he has one of those roll up patio awnings.. It only covered a small portion of the old one.. My other 2 sons are coming home for the Families 100th reunion, so he wants the Deck done, for another family Picnic.. He says the roof will probably have to wait until next year, hoping the wood will be cheaper.. Boy with all the forest fires, I wonder if it will ever get cheaper..

HI MARSON, So sorry Things are not going so well for your eyes yet.. After my cataract surgery the Doc scheduled another surgery just to go in and clean it up.. no problem and all went well, I pray the same for you.. I hear you about the hanging plants they look so pretty; but sometimes more bother than needed.. Be careful, Do not fall off the porch reaching to water them.. I hung mine in the back yard, and was more work walking out there and evenutally they did dry out..

KATIE How nice your boys got to come home for Fathers Day.. and happy your son got home safely during that storm. Sorry your Wheelbarrow got caught in the storm, Hope it was not damaged. We bought a metal one, All Metal even the handles, no more wooden ones.. (handles). WE had high winds last Friday, I thought for sure we would have limbs all over the yard.. but not so.. I wish sometimes it would take a tree or so down. We have several Locust trees, good for nothing.. Several more took root, and now 7 feet tall, I want gone before they become too big.. They are fast growers.. When we moved here there was a small one out back its now twice as big as the house.. They use the wood often for Posts in the vineyards. One has been struck by lightning at least 3 times and still it stands.. I wish it would burn when hit..LOL

MAX How is Stuie doing now? Did you try the Applesauce? Don't knock it until you do.. LOL
Is the Garden surviving your heat down there in sunny Fl.. You probably are enjoying Tomatoes by now.. I wish I had planted a few.. is it quiet in your neighborhood now since School let out.. Sure makes a difference here driving into town and not having to worry about kids and buses.. God Blessem.. They use to make home made Ice Cream for our family reunion also when I was a kid.. My Uncle who passed, always brought the ice cream, later he bought it from the local Creamery, they packed it in Dry Ice, for him to take it.

SUSAN, Sounds like you are getting a lot accomplished. I am taking 3 bags of blouses/shirts, Plastic containers, and odds and ends to the Thrift store today. Also meeting up with a gent in local market parking lot.. I sold him 2 Ducks Unlimited Plaques I had listed on Ebay. That works for me.. He bought them both for 26.00 I paid 3.00; but the good thing he does not have to pay postage.. I did not either, Yard sale find. Wish you could take pictures and post them of all your pretty flowers.. My Yuccas are blooming now, MY Red Hot Pokers just finished, and of course the Peonys are all gone now.. The Trumpet Vine is starting to bloom.. That one Locust tree is blocking out much of the sun.. So Not as colorful yet.. I agree, with you and Max, probably not a good thing to move Bear. Hard to get them accumulated all over again to some place new.. Remember how it was when he first went there... Hang in there, one thing and one day at a time.. Hope all is well with Zac, does he have to take care of bothers estate or will others be doing that.. Poor guy seems to be a busy man.. Glad the therapy helped your shoulder, now I know there are some of those exercises you can do at home, if you will.. Don't let it go too long between.. Wow, tell Selena to call the Real Estate Hdqtrs, to report the missing items from the house, I am sure they will have to put them back, or reimburse her for them.. If they showed the house with it all entact, that means it goes with the house..

Hello Potties, Just got home awhile ago.. Went to Terrys family reunion up in the Finger Lakes of NY..It rained one night, but the other night it was pleasant. We had a good time, mostly the kids and the men.. There are four brothers, so the rest of us are inlaws. Most Teachers or in Healthcare, I feel like an outsider for sure, but Oh Well.. The men and kids all treat me fine, but the women not so much.. Not disrespectful, just different.. I told Terry will probably be the last year I go.. I have enough trouble walking on familiar territory, let alone on rough terrain, Or getting in and out multiple steps from house to patios.. He does not enjoy driving, he says he might not go eiher.. Anyways we are home and I am glad, Thankfully going out of town we get a Motel.. So we can leave early. Gas is cheaer in NY.. 3.09 most places, Here in Pa. 3.29..

SUSAN, So sorry to hear about Zacs Half Brother.. It seems like some people have Evil in them, just waiting for an excuse to get out.. Darned shame.. Glad he is taking the 15 yr old under his wing..
Hoping all of your transplanted Flowers are weathering the heat and getting watered ocassionally..

MAX So sorry to hear about Stuies Kidney problems, Good to hear the medicines are working to make him feel a little better.. Are you giving him pills or capsules? If capsules, I heard if you if you put it in applesauce he will down it all.. not sure if you can open the capsules and spread it around in his food.. Wonder if you could mash the pills and spread it around?

KATIE, Where did you get so many of those Cars.. They look really nice, and brand new.. Nice you have so many if they are good sellers.. I have not had good luck at all Selling on FB.. Not sure what I am doing wrong.. So you finally got some rain? Not sure if we got any here while we were gone.. But I know the Farmers need it, always..

Hi GORDON, I hope the dogz are both doing well.. and you too, did you get the outcome of your Tests you had done? Do the dogz like the snow? when do you start warming up again their? It was mid 70s here today.. Yesterday it was suppose to be in the 80s not where we were, but it was a beautiful day anyhow..

MARSON, I hope your surgery went as well for you as it did me.. I wore glasses since I was 9yrs old when I had surgery at 46, I went about 17 yrs without wearing glasses, but I could tell in the end they were slowly getting worse again.. Started out only wearing them at night and when I drove.. Now I wear them all the time.. Bummer. but even those years of reprieve was welcomed.. I have been wanting to ask the doctor if I could have that surgery now to allow for me to see better, but I am afraid he will think me crazy.. I cannot imagine it would be ok after have new lenses implanted.. Not that many years left anyhow for me to wear them.. I should not be so naive..
