Hi Bill...thanks for the info...I will just list it by as much description of pattern I can fit in. Actually, I like it myself...IF I had a set of china, I might want THIS particular set....I think it is beautiful! But since I have just the one plate, and I certainly do NOT need to start yet another collection of something, I will try to sell it. Thanks again....Suzy

Thanks for looking and for the info Gordon....I appreciate it, as always! Hopefully Bill will see it...whichever Bill it might be...if it's itsagas Bill, he is also on the glass chatboard...I think I will post it over there as well....thanks again! Suzy

Hello Pottery Folks!
Is anyone up on their Noritake China? I have this plate and I have researched/Googled Noritake square plate with gold and black, black, gold and cream, etc. and found nothing. There are a million Noritake patterns at Replacements...yikes! Well here are a couple of pics I thought I'd throw up here for anyone to take a gander at...and thanks in advance! Suzy

Lol Gordon...ahhh yes, KAOS strikes again!
Katie: Yeah I feel like a dummy....duhhh it's wheat...hey I was close....it's a grain!!....lol
Susan: I've had that brown dish on my counter for awhile, but trying to clear some clutter around here...and believe me when I say there is a TON of it! 🙂
-
And to add insult to injury, bf told me it's not corn, it's wheat...oh yeah, it's been one of THOSE days for me...lol
-
Thank you to anyone who looked at my corn pitcher...my boyfriend figured out the mark says Made in Japan.
-
Yes Gordon...it's Julie, aka wattleihavenext...she's a mighty fun gal! 🙂
-
Thank you anyway for looking Gordon. Wow fantastic photos! That is a tongue twister there….Mudgeeraba Music Muster…say it fast 3 times!…lol. You Aussies sure do know how to have pure FUN! I have a glassie Aussie friend who has the MOST fun of any lady I know, anywhere in the world!

Hello Pottery Folks! I need some help with an ID on a pitcher. It has a corn motif on it. The mark on the bottom is very faded, so I cannot make it out, nor can I, obviously, get a good clear photo of it...my camera was NOT cooperating with me today. Anyway, any help appreciated. The pitcher measures 3 7/8" tall and approx. 5" wide, including handle.

Hello....I have 5 of these light blue pottery custard cups...of course they are not marked...now that would be too easy, wouldn't it?!...lol. They measure 2 1/2" tall and 3 1/2" across the top. Was wondering if anyone may know or have an idea on the maker...thanks for looking!

@ohliz Liz thank you so much. I got it with some other Royal China Currier & Ives pieces, but they were alot easier for me to ID, as I turned them over and that's what they said...which is pretty much the ONLY way I can ID any pottery!...lol. The E kind of threw me. I appreciate your help...glad to know that you are all still here to help a gal out 😉

Hello Pottery People!
A quick pottery ID question....does anyone recognize this E on the bottom of this piece? I've never seen it before and I don't know much about pottery...it looks like possibly an English piece? Talk about a mysterious makers mark though....could they have made it any more difficult for the folks of the future to figure out?!...lol. Tough to get a good photo of it, but hopefully that one works well enough to see. Thanks in advance for any help! Suzy

Hello all!

The only marking on the bottom is a number that I can't quite make out....any and all help much appreciated and thanks for looking! Suzy

Gayle: Rocky says he is ready to go! He already has his "fur coat" attached, although I may need to send him a hat as his little ears get cold when he is outside too long 😉
-
Gayle: You give me your address and I will send Rocky the brat out to you for his "vacation"...lol 😉
-
Thanks to Gayle, Char and Gordon for looking and for the info!
Gayle: Oh yes that kitty looks sweet but he is a big brat!!...lol...but, of course, I love him to pieces as he can be very sweet when he wants to be.

Hello all!

Good Sunday afternoon! Thank you Susan and Dan for looking. I have that site bookmarked Dan and I looked there before and couldn't find it...I just looked again just in case but still no luck. As always, I appreciate the help...Thanks! Suzy

Hello Potties! I have a Made in Japan porcelain creamer with violets. Would any one happen to know what company used the H mark on the bottom? I know it's late but thought I'd drop it off here and check tomorrow...TIA! Suzy

Hi Amber and all potties! Yes I am extra lucky as Gail and I only live 1 1/2 hours from each other so we have actually gone shopping together....and it is a joy every time I get to spend time with her! She is hard to keep up with but I try...lol. Nice meeting you too and will see you on the boards! Suzy
-
Yes Amber, Shelly IS great! The glassies and potties have to fight over equal time with her!...lol. And Gail is being quite modest as she knows ALOT about alot of stuff....ESPECIALLY glass! She is quite the whiz and ID's items faster than you can refresh the post sometimes, so if you ever need help with glass ID come on over and ask....I am one of the ones that knows nothing...as I am still learning, but you'll see some great pics of some awesome glass on any given day. Suzy

Gayle/Lois: Perhaps I should have said climbs the fence and jumps over...lol. It's just a 6' privacy fence but he loves to sneak over it, go around the front, and hit the door handle to come in. He thinks he is just the smartest cat ever as he can open all the doors in the house....with the push down handles....and just saunter into the room. He's a little brat...but we love him of course! Well off the bed for me..Goodnight all...Suzy
-
Hi Gail! 🙂
Chris: Thank you...we are happy he survived it! Yes I believe the horrible heat we had this year must have contributed to that fact. Not lovin' the extra critter population....makes me look forward to winter when ALL the critters are hibernating...lol. Oddly enough though, we hardly had any flies on our patio and none in the house...which was wonderful as I absolutely HATE flies! It was just an odd summer all around I guess.
-
whodat/Susan: Yep I am in Oklahoma. We think he got bit when he was playing with some other bugs in the grass one evening...we let him outside on a supervised basis, as the little bugger will jump the fence if we're not watching...lol. About a week after he got bit though, we did find one in the house, and 2 in the garage...EEEEEKKK! So we bombed the garage and think we got 'em. They scare the heck outta me! And speaking of eeeekkk and "running the rats", we had a small rat in our yard two days in a row. BF uhhhh sent the first one to rat heaven but the second one, although I do NOT love mice or rats, was so cute running around the yard, scared to heck 'cause Rocky was first playing with him, but Rocky didn't know what to do with him except chase him, so I said to BF awwww he's so cute, just throw him back over the fence. I guess it was too hot this summer for the snakes so instead we got the rats...which, if I had to choose, I would surely take over the snakes!!
Amber: Yes I know so little about pottery so I'm happy to have found some knowledgeable folks here...'cause I need help!....lolShelly: If you go the auction route I sure hope you would get better prices for your treasures than some of the auction prices around here lately....or you'd just be sick! I guess, just like on ebay, collectibles just aren't bringing the good prices in anywhere right now. You might want to wait awhile and see if it gets any better anytime soon.
-
Hi there....just discovered that instead of that pheasant planter being painted on the bottom, it turns out that it is just VERY worn down green felt that was once there. My smartie pants BF figured it out....lol.
-
Oooohhh Shelly, neat plate too...I didn't scroll down far enough. I certainly will never be able to be of help here as I know even less about pottery than glass...lol. But I sure enjoy looking and learning.
-
Shelley: You find the neatest stuff! That is a lovely pitcher and I liked your perfume bottle on the glass board too!
Gayle: That's Rocky, my big ol' Maine Coon kitty (3 years old). He is bigger than he looks in the pic...he weighs 18 lbs. and he's lonnnngggg...lol. He recently got bit by a brown recluse spider and we almost lost him. We would have missed him alot....he's quite a character!
I am so glad to have this place to come for my pottery questions...seems very friendly and casual. Thanks once again to webmaster Curt!
-
Thank you again Chris....still not finding it....it is eluding me, so far. But I know it's out there somewhere...lol. Oh and your puppy is a cutie!
-
Hello all...I posted this on the ebay chat but thought I'd try it here also:
I have an ID request...if anyone might know who made this planter or possibly an age range for this kind of piece...of course no mark on the bottom but thought someone might know from a pic. It measures 5 1/2" tall and approx. 7" wide, and is heavy at a little over 2 lbs. Any help greatly appreciated...TIA, Suzy
