• Thank you for the birthday wishes Susan (@whodat111)!

  • A belated thank you for the birthday wishes @shellyrae37 @inmax @whodat111 . We went on a garden tour on Saturday and had cake and ice cream that evening. Everyone's peonies were in bloom and I love seeing all of the different varieties. My favorite garden was terraced and had several private seating areas that would be perfect for curling up with a book.

Sorry for the website outage this afternoon. Who knows why it went down, but my webhost said that they were experiencing widespread outages. Probably someone at the data center tripped over a cord 🙂

  • @whodat111 Susan, Guess there are some who think birth control of animals is wrong.

  • @whodat111 Susan, I have lots of Christmas stuff and had quite a bit of out in my mall booth last year. Didn't sell very well. So this year I have offered it to family members. I have two large boxes ready to go to a grand-son and his family. A grand-daughter came for my tree , some lights and ornaments just last evening. Sending another large box to a grand-daughter in Missouri when our DD goes there next week. I think a local DD will be taking some of my best glass ornaments. I have 2-3 ceramic trees. I'm working on getting them in my ebay store for local pick-up only. And wouldn't you know a buyer in Pennsylvania has ask if I would consider shipping it? Of course she would pay the shipping. I politely declined her offer.

  • @whodat111 Susan , I think some local neighborhood is trying to get a ban on out door feeding of cats & dogs because of the attraction to coyotes.
Speaking of putting some de-wormer on the food its too bad that there is no birth control meds that one could give to the animals. Or is such already available?

  • Morning Gayle @trezchick .

@whodat111 Susan , Sounds like a great auction and y'all came home the winners. What kind of sewing machine did you get? I need to sell some sewing machines--- and that is MACHINES . Keep meaning to test one and then get pictures and put it up on Craig's list. Maybe today and maybe not.

Had this bit of fun yesterday.
Trying to dump this item on a DD or DGDIL::
    ”””””Anybody making Christmas cookies ?
I have this Electric Foodgun that looks like it would be a ton of fun for the gadget oriented kids with a guaranteed mess for somebody to clean up. Full directions and recipes included. And wouldn’t you know the cleaning brush is missing?””””””

Offer declined by all the females but snatched up by a son-in-law who will be making cookies with his 29 months old grandson. Our DD, the grandmother, said ” PERFECT! I get to watch the fun, sample the product, and XXXXX will do all the work. Life is good. XXXXX ”

  • @whodat111 Susan, Thanks for giving us an update. Sounds like you need a few days off just to recuperate from all the moving and remodeling.

  • @whodat111 Susan , Congratulations on your anniversary. Glad you are feeling better. Maybe you should buy a new belt for that old vacuum.
LOL about Bru shooting for the bed while still wet.

  • @whodat111 Susan, Sorry to hear that you have been "under the weather'. Hope you are all better now. You gotta feed these cats ,

  • Good morning Potties

Had worked on Fixed Price listing much of yesterday. Then much later I worked on deleting images from Auctiva. Can't always find them when I know they must be there. Today I want to do some eBay fee comparison. I tend to be a 'go-along to get-along' seller. I'm wondering if that Power Seller / TSR is worth the effort.

On Saturday afternoon we went to a birthday party for a great grandson. Eleven year old boys have lots of energy. But a very pleasant dozen or so youngsters. The 13 year old great granddaughter had some of her friends there, too. And had a pleasant visit with family members that I had not seen in a few weeks.

@wellingtonct -- Laurie, It is about time you showed up. Nice to know that you are still navigating. Well she showed up on the Book Board yesterday.

@whodat111 Susan, Good luck on getting reorganized. Don't do very well at keeping things organized but it nags me constantly. Just gathered a bunch of hangers to take to the laundry room so the clothing can go directly on to the hangers when it is removed from the dryer.

@jmart8248 Irene , What are you talking about ? "If not, read back about the ”Pin” thing and all of that problem. Plus, remember someone got dropped from You Tube……. remember?" How can someone get dropped from You Tube?

  • @whodat111 Susan, Good that you had an enjoyable trip.
And there was a shooting a few miles from Anderson in Pendleton , IN.

  • @whodat111 Susan I appreciate your daily posts. Always check in to see what you are up to.

I think that PayPal must be down as I cannot get on there to do address labels. So I am up to this bit of devilment.

I am posting this on all of the boards.
I notice that when I add that 14 Day return policy that we get an additional box for return terms. Wondering what terms others are stating . As some of you know I sell clothing. Thinking about what kind of an attachment that I could add to a used or NWOT clothing item that could prevent the buyer from wearing the item and then returning it.

I know that some glass seller will add some kind of mark. On more common depression glass I have added a piece of "Wite-Out" tape with my initials on it. Otherwise the buyer might return a damaged piece.

In past years I have known an individual or two that would return a special occasion item to Sears or Montgomery Ward after it had been worn. In one instance the mother-of-the-bride had the bridesmaids change to a different garment after the wedding but before the reception.

  • @whodat111 Susan - O'Charley's is one of the BH & my favorite eateries. Have been enamored by OC since the 90's when I traveled down South to install computer systems for trucking company. Used to feast on their 12 oz & 16 oz Prime Rib. No longer eat red meat regularly so like their sea food menu as well. Now they are here in Ohio & have added "Cedar-planked Salmon & Tilapia" to menu + french fried sweet potatoes - super yummy with horse radish sauce.

  • Susan @whodat111 - dietary indiscretion: Try telling that to pot-bellied pig who thought he was a lap-dog. Serious - Beau would jump up on couch & sit on your lap, especially if you were watching TV. Loved to watch music shows. Had to put padlock on fridge though after he learned how to open the refrigerator door. (Wiped out a week's worth of veggies). VERY SMART animal though - hated to get rid of him. Daughter gave him to farm that gave inner-city kids "view" of farm life as part of a re-hab program.

  • Good early morning Pottery Peeps,
Hope all had a good day yesterday. Went to one GW for their senior day. Dumped 2 bags of newspapers. Bought a few things including some new-to-me Pfaltzgraff one of which I'll need some help getting an ID. Also a large seascape oil on canvas by L, Grace. Not sure about the L there may be 2 letters there instead of just the L. Will try to get a pic of painting and signature later today.
Then home for a rest/nap. And then working on cropping pictures and adding them to my listings. Got 3-4 thing added to my store.
I posted this small salt dip on the GB. No response there. Anybody have any ideas?
This open salt has an approximate 2 1/4 inch diameter by 1 inch tall. I have tried to find something under pineapple and fan but don't have a definte name, date or maker.

@whodat111 --- Glad you were able to get your swan and the other items you wanted. Nice for that seller, too.
    Thanks, Helen

  • @whodat111 - left the farm in 1963 so memory is fuzzy on some of the details but typical day started @ 4:00 AM. Dad wouldn't come back into house at night during Winter til after 7:00 PM. In Summer, it was usually after 9:00 PM. I was in school so I got a break - slept in until 5:00 AM but still had evening chores to do before homework.
In a way - I miss my days on the farm. Miss the Summer & "hands in the dirt" activities. I guess that is why I still have a smaller veggie garden in my side yard plus my flower beds.
